Unless I misunderstood, this isn't what he is saying. Saying he comes from a different background than his teammates is a far cry from being accepted by the fanbase.

It would help if people actually watched the clip and make judgement based in fact rather than regurgitate these ridiculous hot takes.

There is no issues. He simply was agreeing that its tough as a black player on a team of mostly whites to fit in. He didnt say anything about the fanbase. If you have a problem with what he said, its more a reflection of you

I am conservative as anyone, and absolutely nothing wrong with what he says there. Everyone has been in a situation where they felt like it was tough to fit in.

My problem is that we've fricked society up so bad that a kid from the south, who plays baseball and listens to rap music feels like he wouldnt fit in with a bunch of other kids who play baseball and listen to rap music because....what? they arent the same race? Every single other aspect is the exact same. Why the frick would it be tough for him to fit in? Again....society is fricking these young dudes up.

Really? I didn’t notice he was black until he brought it up. Hmm, and now that I think about it, yeah, he probably did grow up around black people. Here’s a guy that just has to be the best he can be. We all have challenges. It could be worse. He could be Zack Arnould.

I’m not sure it’s about being black as much as it is about being eccentric?

Is there a Shortstop Ninja on Twitter? Maybe a good interview with Jordan Thompson and Corey Seagar is in order. It’s gotta be a bigger transition for a kid to come from Cali to BR than anything?

Blacks are the ones that have steered towards football and basketball instead of baseball
Hill was also a qb
It’s the sport more than the individuals
Black players trended away from game maybe it will trend back
Right now it’s Latinos and Asians and Canadians with more spots in mlb

Change that to 1965 and you'd be closer to accurate. Even that is being generous.

Yeah. He’s talking about standing out. He wasn’t complaining or saying anything controversial. OP reaching here.

Agree. Fitting in isn't difficult, unless you're hyper sensitive.
