Hopefully Johnson is up to speed in the pass pro department because that’s an area where Durham is really good. I think he’s done well up to this point. Excited to see Berry a little more.

Wait a sec! Why did you have to bring out the stats? That tells a completely different story than what many here want to believe. Why would you do that Dom?!

I mean, you’re melting because people aren’t too bothered losing a guy averaging 4 yards per carry.

Durham is a fine back, but he’s far from irreplaceable.

Durham minus 2-3 runs hasn’t been that much of an impact.

If we're gonna play that game, let's play it across the board.

Durham, minus his best run, is averaging 3.18 per carry.

Berry, minus his best run, is averaging 3.14 per carry.

JJ, minus his best run, is averaging 2.4 per carry.

KJ, minus his best run, is averaging 0 per carry

Let's not forget about Zavion going in motion and lining up in the backfield. That has been a productive play so far this season. So that gives us four options if Durham is out.

So losing a back from a pile of not great backs.

Again, this isn’t a massive loss that buries the offense. It’s just next man up with this group.

His vision has left something to be desired but the offensive line has been pure trash

Ok , fair enough, but those two being the focus this week and not splitting time with Durham should be an indicator of what the exact problem is.

Is it the line really, or is it the person missing the holes and opportunities to make a play.

We will find out.

Both can be true.

He's had a lot of snaps, and he has done very well at that. I've watched him for that and he's made some excellent blocks in both pass pro and on screens and sweeps. Not sure if he is as good as Durham, but he is close and better than Berry or Jackson, though Jackson has improved considerably from last season.

That is something that Emery was excellent at. I sure wish he had stayed, though I am not sure if he is fully recovered yet. He has no carries for UTSA

I actually don’t think this is as big of a deal as the media makes it out to be.

We need bodies at running back. We're down to two healthy full-time running backs, one is a true freshman

In what aspect? Running against Southeastern?

Exactly

I can't believe people are shitting on Durham for his play against some damn good defenses and trying to praise JJ for his play against SELA.

You can't make this type of stupidity up.

45% of the yards. 41% of the carries. 4.15 YPC. 2 total TDs

While that may be true, it’s skewed by 2 outliers. The first play of the year that he broke for 25 yards or so and the last run vs Florida.

Other than those 2 he’s been very pedestrian and doesn’t seem to have the same speed we saw before he was hurt last season.

I like what JJ has done and if Berry can learn pass protection, he’s the real future at RB

And to be clear, it’s great if he can go. But think we’re better off with a 100% JJ and Berry than a 70-80%Durham. Especially if he doesn’t have the speed burst that made him such a high level recruit.

Have yall seen Berry or Johnson pass blocking? This is a big loss to the passing game esp given our OL.

It may also not be solely on the backs.

I think most of us agree on that. The biggest loss is his pass pro, though JJ has also done well; Jackson and Berry are spotty. It was nice having two in the rotation who could block well. I wish I could recall where to get a snap count per player because I think JJ has been in there more than his rush total indicates.
