Not sure about fired. Maybe retirement and or reassignments might be in the cards. I think that how they play in the remaining games will determine whatever happens.

Other than a few dozen retards that post here, nobody thinks O should or would be fired.

We should consider a new offensive coordinator though.
Yeah, I assumed he was talking about the OC.

No. O is not going to be fired after this season. Even if we get killed by aTm. It's not going to happen.

I don't think anyone should get fired, but I do think they should move SE back to tightends and hire a high quality OC.

You think coaches getting demoted from a 11-2 season. How many times have you seen this in the history of college football?

OU fired Mike Stoops after the Texas game just this season. They were in the playoff last year, and are in the playoff hunt again.

Their defense has sucked though. They knew it, and they made the change, regardless of their record.

This is just more excuses.

They can't defend the offensive numbers or the "wait until next year" argument.

This is the last ditch effort "you don't have a choice" argument. I've been waiting for this.

Look, I didn’t want SE as OC either. O wants SE as OC. HE IS THE HEAD COACH!

Now, if he goes 11-2, finishes top 5 in the country, you think the Head Coach who chose/wants SE as his OC is going to fire him? You think anyone is going to be able to tell him you have to get rid of your OC after a top 5 finish? You are in freaking fantasy land!

My hope, and everyone's hope, is that O makes the decision. I think if he doesn't, that reflects poorly on him.

But it doesn't have to be a firing. There are ways to do things and still show respect.

I honestly believe that SE may make the decision himself.

Now if SE just flat out refuses to retire and forces O to have to fire him, then no. Unfortunately there probably won't be a change next year.

Actually, Orgeron could justify a change even more if we finish 11-2 and in the top 5. He can say, look how close we are, but the offense is our Achilles heel.

I obviously understand he won't do that, and that's the problem. Fantasy land is believing a coach is untouchable just because the team had a great season.

No one will be fired.

It's never been about the lack of wins.

It's ALWAYS been about WHY we lose the games we lose, and 9 times out of 10, it's because of our BLATANTLY inept offense.

If LSU had even a semblance of common sense in between those OC headphones, they'd probably have a couple more titles.

The LSU fan base laments the fact that we have top tier talent, facilities, fans, etc.... but our offense is FCS level.

This isn't freaking Vandy or Tennessee. 9 wins seasons (with no division or conference titles) are horse shite and well below our potential.

I do not. And I believe that O will have earned the right to not be second guessed at this time.

And I think I would replace E in 10 minutes if I was the coach. But I am not.

11 wins is a great year. We should be happy. Our deficiencies offensively are well known

If LSU goes 11 and 2 coach O needs to be fired. My grandmother could coach this team to an undefeated season with the amount of talent here.

I'll keep it short on this idiotic post.

Your right, he could. However, this is the guy he wanted against the will of the fan base. He goes 11-2 and people think he’s going to make a change for the third time in three years. That’s why all this OC talk is silly.

Given that the two losses were very embarrassing for the offense, yes.

They will go 9-4 with a loss in Chicen Bowl IF they are lucky to get that.
Aggie my get it over them due to head to head and how well Aggie played BAMA...

The problem that O is going to run into, is this will be compared to the Miles/Cam situation. It already is.

The last thing O wants is to be compared to Miles. Hopefully that's another thing that helps pushes him to do the right thing. We'll see.

Naw! Hopefully another good recruiting class will solve most of our O/L problems. Need a power RB.

Hey 11-2? Color me happy.

If they go 11-2, it honestly has to be considered a very successful season. Orgeron will deserve a great deal of credit.

But E still needs to go. Going 11-2 while overcoming offense rated around 100 is solid coaching while also requiring doing something about the guy who have you the pathetic offense

11-2 would be a great season but even by conservative standards our offense has underachieved.

Frank Solich averaged 10-3 over 6 seasons at Nebraska and was fired for following behind the legend of Tom Osborne.

ETA: Saban will retire (or die) one day. Imagine the pressure cooker it will be at Bama going 11-2 every season. Especially when they start missing the playoffs.
