If the 2014 LSU team could manage to win at least 8 games then this team sure as hell can because that 2014 team was pure garbage.

Front 7 eating

Lot of unproven talent everywhere else

so nothing we didn't already know

Scrimmage rushing stats should be taken with a grain of salt. So much is situational. Short yardage & goal line situations are popular in this setting, leaving not many yards to be had.

Also our D is really good, and it was rainy & wet

our RB and OL will hurt this team. I don't see how we don't escape this year with fewer than 5 loses

If the offense can't produce, the defense will get gassed, no matter how deep and good it is.

Which stat surprises you the most?

Cole Tracy, 3/3 field goals, 1/1 from 20-30 yards, 1/1 from 40-45 yards, 1/1 from 45+

Considering that kicking was potentially the difference in 11-2 and 9-4 last year.

Surprised Damone got 6 tackles. Means he must have had good playing time.

He did. O said Baskerville and Queen didn’t scrimmage, and obviously Taylor is out.

alabama and auburn and miss state are better than us front 7

You are entitled to your opinion, but I don’t objectively see a deeper front 7 other than Bama in the SEC.

LSUs was better than States last year statistically. Even with our early injuries and no depth.

To add, we have Aranda.

This D is going to be very very good.

Still, the O needs work, however we didn’t look bad in spring. Hopefully the D was just Fn on today.

So 419 yds passing, 96 rushing. WR strength of team confirmed.

Thank goodness this is just a scrimmage, I'm not reading too much into it.

And LSU got better and finished higher than them. They got worse.

Like the entire OL?

And remember what defense they are playing against! This says good things about the D

Not that it needs saying again....but Burrow is the QB. OL got worked a good bit....some of it they need to get straight...much of it is our front 7. They are going to make quite a few OL’s look bad. Lot of the plays were situational, so stats are half assed and deceiving.

From a poster on 247 that was at the scrimmage

This. We expect Devin White, Lawrence, Chaisson, etc. to blow up other teams' running games.

It is probably a good sign that they held our run game to an average performance.

Solid! I hope he keeps this up. I think he will win one or two games with FGs.

You want em to have 100 yds a piece so you could say Yikes about LSUs run defense? . It's just a double edged sword your dealing with.

No, but a combined 100 yards between the three wouldn’t be as bad

I agree RB and OL are question marks at this point, but I guarantee nobody here can determine anything from those stats. You have no clue what situations were run. IE: Goal line. You think they start every play at the 50 and we're averaging 2 ypc?

Receiving
• Ja'Marr Chase, 3 receptions, 52 yards

• Derrick Dillon, 3 receptions, 41 yards

• Jonathan Giles, 2 receptions 58 yards

• Nick Brossette had "a couple out of the backfield," and Terrace Marshall and Drake Davis had "long ones."

So that's 15 receptions on 26 completions?

Told y'all the stats are fake.

Yes, it was clearly EXACTLY 15.
