Yeah, and Mac Jones was in peak physical shape last year while he shredded everyone...
You’re retort means nothing. Compare Brennan to Brennan and get back to me. This thought comes relayed from players on roster.

quote:good lord. In the last four drafts, the number of QBs taken in the first two rounds was (going backwards from 2020); 5, 4, 5, 4.
If he stays healthy, I think he'd at worst be a 2nd round pick
So you think Brennan will be among the top 5 QBs taken in the draft???
Seriously, Clark?

He would have to have a spectacular year.
No one has seen enough to say that.

Look Danny Etling got drafted, I think I can definitively say the Brennan is better than Etling. So yeah I think he’ll be drafted

Myles is probably the best option, but I'm going to be a cynic here. What exactly has he done for people to be acting like "we comin"?
1-2 as a starting QB. Played 3 games essentially in a Big 12 system. Decent #'s but far from stellar. So the guy gained some weight... great. He looks the part, but he still has a lot to prove. Hopefully a 5th year Junior can do so.

Bro are you really comparing Brennan to Peyton Manning?? Jesus Christ

Can somebody post a pic of him as a freshman to where he is in this pic ?

He was hamstrung playing under the Matt Canada/O offensive debacle, and he actually had some legs. Put him in a different system and he'd have had much better stats.

I guess you are going off memory when you say decent stats but far from stellar.
1112 yds, 11 TDs, 3 ints. 3 games.
371 yards/game. Offensive line was average or worse.
What is stellar to you?

Seriously, Clark?
Was he ahead of Burrow's pace when he was injured?
How was he ranked vs other SEC QBs when he was injured?
With the OL and WRs, there is no reason Brennan wouldn't be highly rated at season's end.

quote:lol, people were shite talking Mac Jones in those few games he started after Tua went down and one year later he puts up Tua level numbers and is considered a first round draft pick by all accounts.
again, I'll be the turd in the punchbowl, but what in the world are you seeing that would make him an NFL draft pick, much less a first rounder???
Look, I hope he lights it up this year. But man, I'm just not blinded by the purple and gold glasses. Just not seeing him as an NFL draft pick.

quote:Mac Jones, Burrow, Zach Wilson. Three different guys that weren't even on the radar after their first years playing. Literal one year later all 3 have either went #1 overall, projected top 5, or projected top 20 overall.

All of Myles coaching from the last 3 years will be from former NFL coaches. Myles himself has a good build and an above average arm. If he figures it out mentally, how many QBs will even be projected higher than him for 2022?
Let's say Brennan lights it up 4200 pass yards 40 TDs 8 ints 70%, name me 5 QBs that would project higher than him that will be eligible for the 2022 draft?

If Brennan played all year with a half decent defense we would have finished 8-2.
Brennan averaged 370 yards and 3.6 TDs per game last year. The highest pass defense LSU played last year was TAMU, at #56, and Bama was next at...#70. With two true freshman vs both of those teams LSU averaged 240 pass yards and 1 TD. At a low ball estimate with those two "best pass defenses" LSU played last year, Brennan should have averaged no less than 300 pass yards and 2.5 TDs per game over the next 7 games.
That would have brought his 10 game total up to 3212 yards 28 TDs 10 ints. With anything better than a shite stain defense, a 10-2 record and those numbers would have definitely put him somewhere in this 2021 draft.

Putting Brennan in the same sentences as Peyton Manning defines a complete moron and idiot.

He's a fat frick now. His career is over unless he can get his weight under control.

Hope he has a great year
