Saw a podcast today that talked about him. They said he isn’t being developed. He only threw 30 intermediate and long pass plays the last 6 games. His mechanics are bad and podcasters said he would be better off taking a pay cut now to move to a school that would improve him.

The kid was LSU the whole time until the very end when a boatload of cash came in. He didn't get better as the year went on, maybe that Michigan staff isn't for him. After all. I'm curious to see if Lane kiffin being here would change his mind..... I know I know screw him blah blah blah. But what if?

With rev share and an NIL Clearinghouse coming, those kinds of deals will be rare to impossible. It makes no sense to pay one guy that much, especially after the freshman year he just had.

Michigan has to pay that dude $12m a year. Kiffin went to Ferris State and got Chambliss for $12.00.

I think we'll be ok.

Long term move he should definitely come.

But he’ll be too focused on that short term Larry Ellison money. Hard to compete with a guy who has $200M and some pussy he’s trying to keep happy.

BU was 8/18 for 63 yards & a pic with 6 carries for one yard rushing against Ohio State last week.

Kid probably has a buyout clause in his NIL..

In which case do we really want to pay $50M to our old coach, $91M to our new coach, $20M to staff, and then take up half of our $25M NIL budget for a QB who had a mid freshman season? Just bc he was previously committed to us?

We need to stop hemorrhaging money

Well he himself, as a 18-year-old high school student, said Michigan didn't develop QB's and that's why he was going elsewhere, until the money came.

Spending a big portion of NIL on a a kid right out of high school with a lot of potential vs spending it on a kid one year into a season with a huge college program and not showing improvement are two vastly different things.

frick em. Let Michigan have a $12M dollar mistake.

Not that I don't want the kid to succeed, but someone that flips like that, we don't need em.

Kid will end up being good, they really put guardrails on him this year. He didn't look great, but you can tell the talent is there and he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.
