Late 30s and remember Todd Kinchen and Eddie Kennison being some of our few playmakers and hoping to make a bowl every year. But each win was awesome, no matter what!

Went to a lot of games in 90-94 until we moved to Texas.

I started watching football when I was about 8 growing up in southern California. Everyone in the area was either a UCLA or USCal fan. I chose LSU as my team, and confused all my friends and family but I've never second guessed it. I can remember watching them from the late 80s all through the 90s up to present, when the rare LSU game would be broadcast in whatever area I happened to be in.

I'm 39 now and have lived in several states before settling in Oklahoma. And through it all I have bled P&G and will do so until I'm in the dirt.

I only ask because there are so many comments on the rant and on the score board about how this is the worst LSU has ever been, it's never been this bad, how can it be this bad, etc.

These comments are obviously made by people that weren't going to the games 25 years ago. Truth is we were much worse back then. Another truth is it appears that we are headed back in that direction which is the concern of many.

On the cusp of 64. I've followed every LSU game since a 7-6 defeat of Georgia Tech on October 5, 1963. Endured every coaching regime from McClendon through Coach O.

76 ---- My first game to attend was Tulane in 1946. I have not had the privilege of attending many games (maybe one ever year or so) but have missed very few either by radio or TV.

44. Seen the "almost there" teams of Arnsparger and the Hallman era. At this point, I just hope for as many wins as we can get so recruiting doesn't suffer. I imagine we'll be looking for a new head man in a year or two. Hopefully recruiting will keep a talent level to where it's not a total rebuild like the start of Dinardo. We should all keep a watch on the resumes of Fleck, Venables, Brohm, Durkin.

68. I remember the glory days of Dietzel and Cholly Mac. The only dark LSU era was post Cholly Mac turmoil, except for Arnsparger and one Archer season. Picked up some with Dinardo only to crash and burn. Then came Saban and CLM. Good times. The current atmosphere feels and looks a lot like it could be the start of not so good times. I hope I am wrong.

But I haven't heard anyone say that this is the worst lsu has ever been. However, This could be the biggest underachiever we've had in a long time.

I was there in the Mike Archer days--when full sets of west upper deck tickets were left sitting on garbage cans.
