We can only hope that the DC hire will be the equivalent of what Peetz looks like he is going to bring to the table for the LSU offense.

Peetz looks like mma fighter Chael Sonnen

Very impressive, indeed.

Sounds like he's planning on being here for some time, talking about the program and long term discussions

This guy is Will Wade 2.0.

If he delivers and we get a couple years out of him I’d be ecstatic. It’s hard to imagine a scenario where a bright young offensive mind that has already worked with Sean McVeigh and others wouldn’t be getting NFL OC offers quickly.

We need to bookmark this subject because about the 2nd quarter of the first big game people on here will be ready to fire him
False. If we somehow play a spring game, some yahoo will be ready to fire him after the first possession.

Just watched. Guy is very impressive.

He is very impressive guy
the MSU DC coach, comes off way different..no bad, just doesn't impress in his delivery...communication as a coach is big...it also leads to impressions which are huge in recruiting
I am betting Coach O wasn't that impressed
he might be a good coach...but O is thinking, I have to find another super sharpe guy

O mentioned someone who can relate to the players as an important qualification...sounds like Bo sucked at it.
I understand the reasoning behind the Linehan and Pelini hires, but in today’s day and age it just won’t work. You have to embrace the coaching instability instead of running from it.
Seems like O did some soul searching this off-season and figured some things out. You have to give him credit that he’s willing to make adjustments when needed.

I don't see Peetz moving after one year unless it's for a head coaching position.

Tough to move a family, but depends if he’s like Joe Brady and wants to get back to the NFL and skip the recruiting part

Single guy vs a man with a wife and 6 kids is quite a difference. Aranda didn't want to move his family because he was happy here until he finally had a job he couldn't pass up.

Absolutely loved what I heard from Peetz. Roughly six more weeks until we get spring ball clips

Mangus less impressive. I'd feel less comfortable with him as the OC.
It's almost as if they are paying $1mm less than Peetz.
Crazy.

I’ll agree on oline but, if healthy, by the end of the season, Brennan will be acknowledged as elite. He was off to a great start and regardless of whether you are team Johnson, Finley, or Nuss - they aren’t where he is yet.
Chemistry with Peetz and he has round 1 potential.

In 5 of his 11 full seasons, he lost at least 3 SEC games. In his last 3 years, plus the stub in 2016, Les was 15-11 in the SEC. All with elite players up and down the roster.
No doubt, Les was fading. But he was a very good coach in his day.

If he makes a statement next year, welcome to your next HC.
