They needed to focus on gap blocking instead of zone blocking and that could have solved a lot of the problems.

Whatever Brad brings that keeps getting him hired it's not development of linemen or technical expertise in coaching o-lineman.

A tackling dummy with a face drawn on it is an upgrade.

I recall how many Ranters were down on Greg Studrawa, but he continued to coach the OL on good teams after leaving LSU.

Davis has plenty of experience and will probably resurface as an OL coach for some major college football program.

But he definitely appears as the weak link on the staff.

Not something you want to hear when the OL has been trash pretty much since 2020.

he may, but I doubt it is at some major program, without a stay at a smaller school first.....I can't imagine a top of the line program hiring someone with the way our OL looked all year (with highly talented players). Yes, they were young, but they didn't improve at all throughout the year.

No one was down on him as an OL coach. Everyone was down on him as an OC. Both deservedly so

He struggled for sure, but Davis was in a horrible position being asked to coach two blocking schemes to a bunch of young players. They needed to focus on gap blocking instead of zone blocking and that could have solved a lot of the problems.

What about when he had Will Campbell, Miles Frazier, Garrett Dellinger, and Emery Jones and we still couldn’t run block?

Out of respect to Will I won’t get into his opinion on Davis but it’s pretty poor. He was apparently kinda know as the “weak link” coach amongst the players.

You don’t think a power 5 offense should be able to run both gap and zone schemes?
