Mullen to Tennessee
Kiffin to Florida
Gus to Arky

Miles to Moo State?
Miles to Ole Miss?
Miles to Auburn? No way Petrino I’d hired there.

That's cute. Dude will never coach at a Power 5 school again (or likely any school).

He couldn't consistently finish in the top 2 in the West with rosters loaded with NFL talent and the highest paid assistants in college football.

Les will probably be mentioned for both. But his agent will probably tell them that Les is still more interested in doing his podcast and spending LSU's money.

And who could really blame him?

This is sort of what I see happening, if some HC's are fired. Malzahn is not liked at Auburn, I could see him going to Arkansas (if they offer and Bielema is out). I think Malzahn is from Arkansas. Auburn goes after Petrino (I think he would take it given the cloud that's hovering over Louisville athletics currently).

i dont know if Malzahn will make that move, Arkansas is in bad shape right now and its so hard to recruit there.. he has worn out his welcome though so a change could be good..

only place i see miles going is Tennessee and id say its about a .01% chance.. funny thing is Chavis could go back with him after sumlin is fired late November.. But I think most will pass on miles... his last 3-4 years at LSU were very bad and hes shown to be very hard headed and not listen to his superiors.. He basically thinks that because he won a NT he can do what he wants, thats not a good character flaw to have, its called complacency.. terrible trait to have as a coach.. he was just here for too long..

Florida is basicall a three man horse.. Dan Mullen (be cause of ties to strickland and florida) Scott Frost (not sure he wants to go back to nebraska and my dark horse is Gundy there.. (although Tennessee may throw the bank at him to get him there..

Arkansas/Tamu/Florida/Tennesse will all be open, coaches will come at a premium..

Coaches we know wanting to leave..
Petrino for sure. maybe Malzahn

Fla and Tenn will go much younger than Miles
They don't want to be doing this again in the next 5 years and hopefully this is a 10 year coach

I'm curious though if Florida will give Kiffin a look though

If LSU can hire a 3-21 SEC resume, why couldn't Florida hire a Kiffin type resume?

Ole Miss would be smart to hire CLM to pilot their ship while they're sanctioned. Then get an up and comer to rebuild when the sanctions are done.

2013 10-3 5-3
2014 8-5 4-4
2015 9-3 5-3

Most might pass on him but it's because of his age. There are sec programs that would sacrifice a staff member to the football gods if they could have that (very bad ) record.

Miles is not in the picture. Florida is going after Scott Frost. That's their #1 guy. There is interest on both sides. The problem is what bowl UCF goes too. The longer it takes for Florida to seal the deal the harder it will be to keep Nebraska out.

Miles is overpriced for what he brings to the table at any P-5 job. I just don't see it happening. I honestly could see an outside shot at a big 10 school though. At 64 and still getting paid a couple more years, it would be nice to just ride off into the sunset as a very successful coach. I'd like to see him as an LSU figure head of some sort as he represents the University well. Maybe as assistant AD or something where he doesn't have to make stubborn decisions. He could just show up and talk LSU to people. Heck he's on the payroll anyway. They may as well get him doing something to earn that money.

The only place I can see Miles is at a short term stop like Ole Miss. Straighten up the program for a few years, no pressure to win, retire.

I think Les loves LSU so much that he would not want to coach for another SEC team and have to play us. He may be arrogant in some ways but he's not a douche like Saban

Agree 100%. His love for our university is astounding. Never once badmouthed us even after getting shitcanned.

What AD would hire a 65 year old to be head coach unless they had multiple recent championships?

has nothing to do with age, look at bill snyder

fact is we looked terrible for putting the most players in the NFL during that same time period. everyone knows it. thats how be became known as a dewfuss. other coaches wish they had the talent that he had at their disposal.. he did very little with more than anyone..

I don’t know why anybody would ever believe this. If you do, it’s not because you have history on your side. Miles could have saved his multi-million dollar job, and the jobs of all of his assistant coaches, and he made a conscious choice to not do that.

AMEN .. his ego, stubbornness and "I AM THE COACH" mentality did him in ... never more obvious that in the NC game
