Lina has too many needs, the list is endless. DL help is big for them. But with that said, CB and Return man is also a great need. The two return guys, Goodson and Munnerlyn have had some problems. Another need, QB. Lots of holes on both sides of the ball. If PP7 falls, one team is gonna be real happy. They look to go with DL help in the first pick. But having picked at or below average the last couple years, who knows. With a new HC, we'll see how much Rivera has a say in the choice.

No, I wouldn't take him number 1.

So, I get Darrelle Revis and Devin Hester in ONE dude.....and, he is big enough to play safety as he gets older in the league?

Yeah...I'd consider it (in THIS year's draft)

Ding Ding Ding

Revis has carried the Jets to 1 game away from the Super Bowl the last two years. Did you see them when he's out? They are atrocious. He allows them to blitz every single play. PP7 could do the exact same thing for whoever picks him up. He is the best player in the draft and will have the biggest impact. That being said, I don't think Carolina takes him #1.

I think the same thing. PP7 would be a good pick here and wait till the later rounds for the other needs. PP7 had 114.2 All Purpose Yards per game this year. Thats yards from not rushing or receiving on the offensive side of the ball. His hands were as good as anyone on the team this year.

LSU82BILL how many of those teams made it to the Superbowl the last couple of years. Just cause some teams throw a load of money at Cornerbacks does not mean it's a good idea. The NFL is a QB driven league. You better have a good QB or you ain't going very far.

Unless Sanchez steps up Rex Ryan is gonna follow his Dad's eagles team of the past. Revis won't carry them to a Superbowl. Your QB has to make some plays offensively to win. I would trade down a couple to a few spots and still get PP7. If he is not there then trade down and get even more picks. There is a reason nobody takes Cornerbacks with the first overall pick in the NFL. Not enough impact. Some teams were able to contain PP7 in his return game. I don't see PP7 running wild on NFL special teams returning just punts. He will do well but not score as easy as some people might think.

There are only two lockdown corners in the NFL right now (Revis and the guy for the Raiders whose name i cant spell and am too lazy to look up) and pp7 has the potential to be the next one if not the best in a few years. it completely frees up your safeties and sometimes linebackers to cover someone else or blitz. is he worth the #1 pick? doutbful, but this is a weak draft at qb which normally goes first. and the panthers have decent DEs.

Most of the need for the Panthers are on the defensive side of the ball, not counting QB. NT/DT are a need along with CB and LB'er. Last may be a need at WR. They drafted 3 WR's and 2 CB's last year, still trying to get a little more out of the last draft.

definitely top 5. I would be thrilled for him if he went as the top pick. Even though the Saints play the Panthers twice a year, I'd love to have another Tiger get taken with the first pick.

Why waste a #1 pick when you have Jimmy Clausen? Let the kid develop :-\

PP would be great.. shutdown corner and good open field tackler..
especially since the spread offense is super popular

Best athlete but that doesn't mean he should be the #1 pick or get $60 million. Agree, none of them are worth that much money.

what does this even mean? you do realize *someone* has to be the first pick, right? And whatever that #1 pick signs for will be what the market (specifically the Panthers) are willing to pay for that player.

I don't see how he would be a bad pick. He could play anywhere in the defensive secondary and be a great return man.

There are not any QBs worth taking and the DL group is so deep you would be vastly overpaying this year for a DL. Peterson is considered the best DB in a long damn time.

The Panthers are dumb though because they don't even have their second round pick.

We're neglecting that PP7 could be used for a trade as well. Carolina might want a proven player to fill a need and not necessarily a rookie. It's always a possibility.
