That dude started following LSU like yesterday. He’s a clown and should not be taken seriously.

Both will be great in the NFL. May come down to preference or which team drafts a receiver first. I was surprised last year Ruggs went first but that's who the Raiders wanted.

Think the Raiders pick was tyreek envy

Maybe he’ll drop to decent team. Hate to see good players go to trash teams.

Chase will be drafted first because he is the better receiver. Smith is going to need to find the right fit and there will be teams that are scared away by his weight. Chase does everything and does it exceptionally well. He would have been the first receiver taken last draft as well.

Their situations aren’t quite the same. Smith is on a championship roster and had more to prove, Lsu was no longer a championship roster and Chase already showed he was the top WR prospect last year. After Smith won a natty his sophomore year, he was not best at his position, not close. He deserves credit for coming back as a senior (and Bama for getting him to come back), but he knew he was in for a huge season and championship run with a QB that had several starts and was only going to improve.
Chase won the Bilenikoff, the natty, and showed he was the elite WR prospect of the next draft class...then whole team leaves after natty... then a pandemic threatened the season...with no proven QB...he had to be selfish.
Instead of risking injury or being out shined by others in better situations, he made a tough decision at a time when we weren’t sure if multiple P5s would even play or not. This season hardly feels legitimate.
Enjoy the shitty season championship Bama. Most of the Rant will apparently be cheering for the Tide on Monday.

I think Smith goes #3 to Miami to pair with Devante Parker and Mike Gesicki, and reunited with Tua.
I think Chase goes #5 to Cincy to pair with Tyler Boyd, Mixon, and Gio Bernard, and reunited with Burrow.
I've seen Chase to CIN in a few mock drafts. They did just take Higgins last year with 33rd pick and have a glaring need on OL. Eagles have the next pick and they passed on Jefferson for Reagor last year...so they still have a need there.

Chase quit on LSU
He is dead to me
Oh no, he guaranteed himself 30+ million dollars, whatever will he do?
Honestly his teammates are probably happier for him than anyone, and we’re sitting here acting like he shunned them

Quitters never win and winners never quit.

While chase has the edge in measurables Smith has the better hands...
Chase targets last year : 126 targets 84 receptions
Smith targets this season : 132 targets 105 receptions.
Would have taken chase's stats this year but the whole opt out thing...so i just took the best year for each

He quit on LSU. He will quit on whatever NFL team signs him.
Gotta protect himself right?

Chase will be drafted to be the #1 WR for a team because he checks all the requirements. Smith will be drafted to be a #2 WR, he is lacking size and physicality to match NFL play.

I guess you like giving 30mil to quitters. I don’t . I wouldn’t have it on my team.
I’d rather have a guy who will stick it out through the rough spots and help us rather than bail when things get rough.
Chase is a quitter and that is worth less than a player who sticks around. Maybe he’ll get 30mil but he could be worth more if he only had the character to stick it out.

I want Smithy to get drafted because he did not quit at the beginning of the season like Chase did. That is why Smithy is a Heisman winner and Chase is sitting out the season.

Thought Joe and Higgins had a good connection going. But if Chase is there when the Bengals pick I don’t think you can pass. You can get Oline help later.

We'll just have to wait and see how the draft goes and see how their carriers develop ?

I don’t know why we have this thread every other day.
Because some allegedly grown men with pathetic lives feel the need to call a kid with nothing to gain a “ quitter” because he decided it was in his better interest to not play a freaking game during a pandemic shortened season. Many of these same people mind you have no qualms about tossing Brennan a kid who showed the loyalty they demand aside because he got hurt and another kid was QB when a moron from Florida tossed a shoe and York made a 57 TD FG.
As a side bonus many now praising Smith probably ripped him and his family friend aka the barber because he went to Alabama

Depends on the team's needs. Smith is a speed guy who will take the top off of the defense. Chase is a possession guy who will work the middle and get YAC. I'd love to see Cinci trade back and take Chase at 6-10 (Green is a free agent and old), then build their OL from there. Smith will go at 14 after the Raiders trade up to get him.
