Friday - Paul Skenes
Saturday - Mike Sirotka
Sunday - Ben McDonald
Closer - Louis Coleman
Went with the lefty in the middle to separate similar pitching styles in Skenes and McDonald.
Or Aaron Nola on Saturday if we want 3 righties in a row.

Friday- Cowan first out of the pen.
Saturday - Noot first out of the pen.
Sunday - Williams first out of the pen.
Two of these three are likely to start on Monday and Wednesday.

no shocker.
figured it would be some combination of these 3.
The real question is do we keep all 3 as starters all year?
Usually Jay throws his best 4-5 arms game 1 and 2 and only saves a guy to start sunday if one of those games
is out of hand.

That's a hard thing to do. I think last year was the closest it's ever been to Jay keeping the rotation "all year" with the opening weekend being Anderson, Eyanson, and Shores for about 9 weeks before Shores got replaced.

That’s why we call it practice. Cade Anderson had similar issues his first year and pre season practices. And it’s also why he’s the Sunday starter right now.
He has four plus pitches he can throw for strikes and a 96 + MPH fastball with movement. Batters are going to be going up there taking pitches. Guaranteed. If he can throw enough strikes to get them swinging, the stats will take care of themselves.

Heard Jay being interviewed yesterday and said he had forced Schmidt into an outing recently and took away his “safety blanket”
I heard Jay saying the same on Mik’d up. I believe this was the scrimmage before the last one with 11 k’s. Chris McGee surmised that the “safety blanket” was Schmidt’s curveball, so he had to work his way out of trouble with other pitches. For the last scrimmage with the 11 k’s he was allowed to use all of his pitches.

He was alright, but Kade was better.

We need someone like anderson last year to have a breakout year. I’m going schmidt will be that guy

“Kade” was untouchable in scrimmages leading up to his sophomore season.

We almost always manage to have at least one "dominant" guy. Anderson last year, hopefully Evans this year.
I think the real key to make a run will be replacing Eyanson's production on Saturdays. He was absolute nails in the back half of the season and, at least in my opinion, probably more of a reason LSU won the natty than Kade. I know I'm stating the obvious, but having a dominant one-two punch on the weekends is the key to a national seed/tournament run.

I'm so excited for LSU baseball to begin. It's the most wonderful time of the year. I'm so happy.

This could be the case later in the season, but not this weekend. 5 games is 6 days means 2 of Noot, Williams, and Cowan start. My money is on Noot and Williams
