I’m not intending to act like an expert. I just find it hard to believe Clark is committing to LSU thinking he may ride the bench.
We’re just going to have to agree to disagree. Who do you think LSU’s other QB will be?

I won’t be disappointed. We finally have a head coach that is also a quarterback guru, so I will be absolutely stoked no matter who wins the job. I trust Kiff on quarterbacks more than anybody out there - by a lot.

Can someone explain what up w his left elbow?

I’m starting to think Leavitt is not coming. I’m thinking Longstreet is coming, and I believe Clark will easily beat him out for the starting job because Longstreet doesn’t have enough experience. If I’m wrong and Leavitt does come to LSU, then we’ll have a massive battle between he and Clark, and I’d say Leavitt would win the job.

Holy shite, good question!

Not necessarily. If Clark outshines Leavitt in August, Leavitt will be clipboard holder.

We would be bringing in Leavitt to be the starter. If healthy, he would start against Clemson.

Leavitt wants multiple millions. He’s not coming here to be a backup nor would LSU pay him to do so

You must wait for Leavitt to sign before we all start rooting for the backup quarterback. We have rules.
Again, I’m all for a QB battle
Clark will have a head start too

I do like him. But, I doubt he will EVER have 5 seconds of unmolested time to get that kind of ball off unless something crazy like JB Heisman moments against UT and UGA happen.

Does juco play w same size ball?
trying to be funny? he played for an fcs team, thats a higher level of ball than chambliss played.
also
someone said he was quoted as saying hes ok with being qb 2 this year and developing

Geez louise... That was a BOMB. Happy we have him, and IF we land Leavitt, the QB battle will be awesome development. For both.

I think somebody like this would come to LSU expecting to be the backup or at least being allowed to compete for the job after seeing what happened with Chambliss this season.
Especially if Leavitt is coming here you and you could be backing up him that has had a bad injury that isn't recovered from yet. I guarantee Leavitt is looking for assurances that he will be the starter even if he can't do spring ball.

Who the hell thought he’d be quarterback 2 !?
Lots of people, myself included, unless he ends up being the only guy we bring in. He has talent, and I'm glad he's in the building, but you guys are watching highlights. Everyone's highlights look good. He struggled to complete 50% of his passes, while playing poor competition. He was a big play, little consistency guy all year. That's why a lot of us don't see him starting next year. But the good thing about him is that he's got plenty of eligibility left to improve and, under Kiffin, it's not hard to imagine him taking over the following season.
At worst, he could hopefully improve enough this off season to at least be a competent QB1 if needed next year.
