You really believe that? That should be true but based on some things I saw before the game there were plenty of folks who thought LSU should and would win that game, not that they had the talent and could potentially win but that they absolutely should.

Those people are stupid and/or lying, probably both. No rational fan would have any reason to believe that we would win that game.

That is typical of a rebuilding team, though, isn't it?

Not necessarily. We have gotten worse offensively from last year. And rebuilding isn't a reason to be shite on special teams.

How about Aranda at Baylor? How’s he doing this season? His name was in the mix too.

Should of hired Nappier or Kiffen, but I’m willing to give Kelley time. I’m just happy we didn’t hire Fischer.
You didn't spell one name right.

I think the biggest gripe that fans (myself included) have is that we have the same issues week in and week out. Special teams is abysmal. The offense just seems out of sync. I can understand the different combos on the line, but there is no reason that we should continuously be off on timing routes like slants. I don’t know if that is a JD problem, receiver problem, or both. The defense has played well, and been able to adapt in the second half. Been really high on House because of that. I just think as a fan, and in some cases on this site, donor and booster, you want to see some changes made where the problems are. Some of the gripe is because everyone is gunshy from O, but some of it is warranted. You have a squeaky wheel week in and week out, and it feels like nothing has been done to fix it. That’s frustrating no matter what the score is.

I think Napier inherited a roster more depleted than Kelly. THey're good comparisons for what they're able to do for that reason.

Here’s one thing that I’ve come to realize. Kelly can build a program from the foundation. There are examples in his career at Cincy and ND. I don’t count Grand Valley State on the same level but he built and won there too.

LSU needed a guy like him to rebuild the brand and culture here that O ruined. We sold our soul for 2019 and it was well worth it. Kelly will have this machine fully operational in another year or two. Trust the process

This!!! The problem with fans on this site is they have no experience building anything more than a model plane.

I wish you guys would stop thinking that Kiffin was on the market....he was not and neither was Fisher.

Kelly had a dumpster fire in free fall when he arrived. The fact that he was able to field a competent team that has won 2 SEC games is quite frankly, remarkable and I was not overly enthusiastic about his hire, still not, but I don't delude myself and think he did not have a K2 summit to climb

Yes, this is what I meant, I wasn’t talking about anything with Kelly.

Lol no

Florida was ranked in the top 5 and played in a NY6 bowl in 2020 and ranked in top 10 in 2021

They had way more than 36 players for their bowl game and didn't lose the numbers LSU did to transfers in 20 and 21

Must win for LSU moving forward.

It's the first season with "Sunbelt Billy" and "Can't Coach Corey" as well, so there will no excuses.

An LSU loss would activate a lot of negative energy around the program and questioning of the hiring decision.

Billy Bots will take over the Rant.

Absolute necessary that Will Campbell play with Dellinger out! (If not we may score 13 points again)

BTW, I absolutely do not like this Kelly-Denbrock "Square Peg-Round Hole" like Offense.

Not the current class and the current class is what the OP is comparing. O has nothing to do with the current class.

I was responding to the guy talking about Kiffin’s recruiting ability. I was saying he recruited well early in his career because he always had O with him as recruiting coordinator.

You put in quite a list here, very good points. I think it was clear that DA had issues with Ed O, but not LSU itself. He knew he wasn't going to learn anything from Ed and saw Baylor as an opportunity to grow. Remember the article where he said he was all football and not involved in the "politics" of the Sport? He saw Baylor as a low-key but challenging area to force him to step up and grow not just as a HC but out of his introverted personae which is not helpful for a HC... I really wanted him to come back, but he was just getting started. I say in 10 years, He's the first & only call to come back.
