Is anyone else just not a fan of chinea at all? I personally cant stand watching him trying to hit righties. Or try to field.

Well I don't hate the kid for sure, but I've been kinda disappointed by his bat.
It was said somewhere (I can't remember where) he had the most powerful bat in the lineup a couple years ago, but he really hasn't shown it off consistently.

Last week in the scrimmage, he looked very methodical and frustrated. Hopefully it wasn't a sign of things to come.

championship countdown 2000
It's a new Millennium in the world but this championship still feels to most people like it was a part of the 90s. 5 championships from 1991 to 2000 10 years 5 championships.
It's LSU vs Stunford. (yes it's really stanford but they had a mistake on their jersey the a was an u, so I've always called them stunford)
This was a match up of the two most recent back to back champions.
LSU and Stunford would cruze into the championship game by both going 3-0 in their respective brackets. LSU got into this game by beating their opponents by a combined score of 29-11 and Stunford 35-17. Clearly the best two teams in the CWS that year.
LSU would strike first going up 1-0 in the bottom of the Second when Cedrick Harris drove in Wally Pontiff.
LSU would score again in that inning when Theriot drove in Harris. 2-0 Tigers
Top of the third Stunford almost ties it up with a home run, but Ray Wright robs a home run and keeps it 2-0 tigers.
Stunford would take the lead on a grand slam, makes it 4-2 we are in the top of the 4th
Base hit makes it 5-2 Stanford in the 6th
A second huge defensive play in the 6th saves another run or more. Blair Barbier makes a diving stop at third guns it across the Diamond to get the third out with the bases loaded.
LSUs bats were absolutely shut down in this game. LSU scored their 2nd run in the 2nd and their bats were held hitless from the 2nd to the 7th.
Jason Young and Justine Wayne, kept LSU in check till the 8th inning, but LSU would find a way to respond the second time through the order against Wayne.
Blair Barbier would break the hitless streak in a big way. Blasts a line drive that just clears the fence in left field. 5-3 Stunford still leads.
Wally Pontiff would have a huge at-bat after that he worked the count full and got on base with a walk.
Harris up next couldn't do anything
Jeremy Witten would get the huge hit hitting another line drive home run that just cleared the Left Field fence. Tie game.
We go to the 9th all tied at 5
Ryan Theriot would start things out quick in the 9th. A slow dribbler that just get's past the third baseman and short stop for an easy base hit. A walk would move him to second.
Than Brad Creese who had a horrible CWS would win the game. Base hit into left field, Theriot rounds home and beats the throw home.
TIGERS WIN 6-5
5th championship in 10 years for Skip, his last one.
