Please don’t beat me up too badly.
My daughter is a collegiate softball HC, who will often times early in the season when playing an inferior team, ask her hitters to work on different disciplines at the plate. NO PICS YOU ANIMALS!
The games are non conference, so winning and losing isn’t really important.
For example, I’ve seen her challenge her hitters to work on marginal pitches, learning plate discipline and literally challenging each hitter to try and get at least one walk during the game.
I’ve also seen her ask them to lay completely off “off speed” pitches and work on squaring up fastballs only.
Point is, we don’t know what Jay is working on with these hitters, but it sure looked familiar this weekend, watching guys layoff some pretty good looking pitches
Jay has more than earned my respect, I’m not too worried about what’s to come.

What happened to the team's regular bats this weekend

No doubt there some truth to that.

But, we suck and Jay likely won’t make it past mid-season.

The rant can't understand this despite watching the same shite for 20+ years

Not sure anything did. I was simply reacting to some posts I’ve seen here of folks being concerned over the low scoring this weekend.

The sky isn’t falling, last week this batting lineup was better than 1997 according to some and the pitching was awful, now the pitching looks like the 90’s Braves and the lineup looks like a 9u team. Baseball is funny sport.

My sources told me that he had them all invert their cups while at the plate. Working on pain and suffering on their journey to GOATness
