So the difference between greatness and crap is 0.48 yards per play? Even when you have a returning OL and Darrius Guice?

Who the frick has said 2017 was "greatness"? Seriously, link one person claiming that. Just one.

Making straw man arguments just illustrates that you have no real leg to stand on. 2017's offense sucked. 2018's offense sucks ever so slightly less. I guess this is a win in your book?

Isn't that what a competent OC is supposed to do?

I don't see Ensminger doing a lot of this.

Maybe Mullen will give him some pointers now that UF has beaten us.

That's an excellent point...

Guice 2015 under Cameron 436 yards, 8.5 ypc
Guice 2016 under Cameron/Ensminger 1387 yards, 7.6 ypc
Guice 2017 under Canada 1251 yards, 5.3 ypc

Guice's production took a nosedive in 2017.

You think it was the coordinator more than being injured?

Brennan isn’t ready now, it’s laughable to say he was a year ago.

You know what? Even with all the hickups and the penalties and stuff, we dang near won that Florida game. I was disappointed for sure, but that wife of mine made the best dang Chicken-Sausage-Shrimp Okra gumbeaux she EVER made. Polished off the last of it at lunch today.

Bring on Georgia and the Pork Roast with a huge mound of rice & gravy and trimmings.

I mean, Auburn was the turning point, right??

If O and the D staff got a pass for getting their asses gashed against MSU and fricking Troy I don’t think it’s unreasonable to give the offense and staff a bit of a break for not exactly lighting it up in The Swamp.

Wasn’t the story of the season all about the second half of the season surge??

The offense certainly improved after that game, so why is this thread necessary? Should we revisit Troy and MSU as well?

He missed a game with injury in 2017. But don’t let it get in the way of your narrative. We know you love your family. But he isn’t getting the job done so far.

nowhere. OP just tries to redefine terms to fit his agenda. I never said canada was great last year but he did not suck. would love to see him with burrow.

but you had first cut saying canadas concepts sucked and he sucked which is BS and goes for any idiot making this claim have ZERO CREDIBILITY in this thread. he blew E from 2016 and figured since E was so great he would blow all Matt's stats out the water and E has a better Qb and receivers.

well it has not happened.

per the OP E should be getting 35 PPG easy

taking away the Defensive TD in miami game

he has 30.1 PPG while canada had 27.2

using the OP's own phrase" that is not exactly blowing canada out the water"

still along way to go this year also with those stats

can somebody update these stats from a couple weeks back?

In the SEC:

Last in yards/play
Last in yards/game
Last in rushing yards/att
Last in rushing yards/gm
Last in passing yards/att
Last in passing yards/gm
Last in passer rating
Last in 3rd down conversions

LSU currently ranks (out of 130):

105th in yards/play
112th in yards/game
95th in rushing yards/att
92nd in rushing yards/gm
96th in passing yards/att
106th in passing yards/gm
106th in passer rating
112th in 3rd down conversions

2018 #s v 2017 #s

5.08 v 6.19 - yards/play
333.7 v 411.1 - yards/game
3.91 v 4.79 - rushing yards/att
153.7 v 207.6 - rushing yards/game
6.8 v 8.8 - passing yards/att
180.0 v 203.5 - passing yards/game
115.5 v 149.8 - passer rating
31.9% v 41.4% - 3rd down conversions

That’s a great comparison. UF improved and we basically stayed the same.

That being said, home field advantage won that game for UF.

You really think Canada had full control over that offense last year? I doubt he had full control at any point last season. Burrow is a whole lot better QB than Etling. Anyone who thinks otherwise is ignorant. Last season Canada was working with 3 true freshmen on the Oline at times.

He carried the ball 54 more times in 2017 than 2016 but ended up with fewer yards. Great narrative. His YPC took a 2.3 per carry hit under Canada’s offense. Injury was not the problem.

It’s a fact. Not a narrative. Did Canada actually text you the vid of him sleeping with your girlfriend or did he just upload it directly to social media and tag you?

You do understand that with injuries players still play while not at 100% and that does translate to lower performance at times.

I read all the comments about SE and his bad playcalling and so I went back and watched it again because I taped it and he actually didn't do a bad job. He could have ran some more delay rb draws and QB draws and different route combos but overall he didn't call a bad game. Missed assignments, flat out getting their arse whipped and penalties doomed quite a few plays that would have picked up 8-10 yds. easily. I don't think he called a great game but not bad enough to say the loss was all his fault, Florida's defense played well and disrupted plays that would have gotten first downs/good yardage had players executed their assignments.
