Don't you know that only half of Tyrann Mathieu got suspended when that whole debacle went down..?

Which half? Top or bottom, left or right, back or front?

Mental addiction is absolutely real and yet the majority of the weed community consider marijuana a harmless recreational drug. It's a gateway drug. It alters your mood, inhibits critical thinking and affects your coordination. It should only be available to those with serious medical conditions. Bottom line, if you want the occasional high your local liquor store is probably right around the corner.

This is what I can't wrap my head around. How was marijuana going to help Richardson compete better?

If anything, it will slower her down. So it's not an unfair advantage to use it.

Since some of you haven’t bothered to get all the facts before posting…

Richardson admitted that while in Oregon for the U.S. Trials, a state where marijuana is legal, she turned to the drug to cope with the unexpected death of her biological mother.

Tiger Rag

Not that it excuses her, my question is has the “biological mother’s” death been confirmed? When I tried to get out of trouble for doing stupid shite in my youth my grandparents had several deaths, know what I mean?

The dumbest rules I’ve ever heard of keep these athletes from competing it’s fricking joke! They need to get rid of these rules !!! If they gonna do this they might as well test you for alcohol also see how many play! Getting penalized for have a virus and having thc in your system is a joke !

Regardless of one's view on the subject, she was aware of the rules around it, and it is obvious she intentionally ignored them.

That is the youth of today. She has embarrassed herself, her family, her team, University, and the USA.

no it’s not. Using it to escape your real world problems is not healthy in the slightest

I love the mentality that argues all day advocating for weed while completely ignoring the only facts that matter. It’s against the rules and it’s still illegal in most places

Until it’s not against the rules, stfu about telling me why it’s ok to do it.

The is exactly correct. We live in a world where we tell our kids (grandkids for me) that we all get equally. I call it participation trophy syndrome. The reality is we aren’t all equal in the space we participate in whether it’s athletics or business but we must all follow the same set of rules and laws to compete. She knew as of 1/1/21, smoking weed was considered illegal for her space yet she chose to do it. It was a bad choice “she was human”. I’m glad that she has apologized and hope that she can move on with a great career. I’ll always root for her no different that Mathieu.

This is simple. FOLLOW THE RULES OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES.

it is not. Drug tests by the T&F authorities look at PEDs, which reefer is not, and drugs of abuse, which they still classify weed.

It's still an issue when your competition isn't enforcing such things. It feels like LSU is among the very few being so strict about it.

Why disadvantage yourself like this? It's a shame. Of course it would be nice for people to take personal responsibility, but it would be even nicer for it not to be such a big deal.

Weed may not be legal across the country like some claim, but it seems to take a step in that direction all the time.

I’m sure you’ve never had a drink or made any mistake during a stressful time.

Some of y’all need to look inward. We have too many poster who would have been chucking rocks at Mary Magdalen after Jesus stepped in.
