Hasty didn’t seem to be too bad in scrimmages. Not sure what the deal is. I still think they are learning roles for sure but hasty, Fontenot and Fowler with no appearances at all is weird to me. Guess you can say too many pitchers and not enough innings but then you have Dutton going 2 IP and the Gervase going 3. Guess he wanted to make sure we win the game first than get pitchers work. Strange coaching staff to figure out so far.

There is a reason Fontenot hasn’t pitched. I will leave it at that

He pitched this weekend. Or did you mean Hilliard?

ETA: You meant the other Fontenot. Got it.

How is that strange?

You play to win the game.

Well that just leaves me in the same spot I’m in now. Curious as to what that reason might be.

Those comments weren’t meant to be paired together. I’m talking pitching decisions/lineup/position decisions from the coaches. Also PH decisions. Just saying that it’s hard to figure out the coaching staff and how they are thinking so far.

One pitch ruled a wild pitch was really a passed ball bc McManus had his glove positioned wrong and this resulted in a run . Again McManus misses a pitch and both runners advance. Both then scored on a hit but only one would have scored but for McManus. He let several other pitches goes thru his legs and dropped several that were almost strikes. Also poor plate appearances. We need Alex back asap.

We made it through an entire game without an error ? (passed balls should be errors)

In essence that are errors because they factor into unearned runs.

If you're talking about the 9th inning, it was ruled a passed ball.

Big win for the Tigers at home against a Southland conference opponent that has been besting them the past few times. 2-1 going into the 7th and the Tigers found a way to hold off another in state rival.
