It’s not wins and losses or missing a piece here or there. They suck in every phase of the game.

If you listen to any of the local media it was. The propaganda about Jay Johnson being an all world hire despite him being a relatively unknown commodity is pretty substantial.
Culotta, Hanny, Moscona, etc etc raved about the hire. It still may very well work out but I even thought at the time that it was a massive overreaction for a dude who hasn't really done much yet
Johnson made the CWS twice in five tries at Arizona. I don't know how that shows he "hasn't really done much" or makes him an "unknown commodity".
Maybe there was massive overreaction to the hire, but he managed to get to Omaha and play for a national championship with a fraction of our budget. Not sure how many other gettable hires would've been more acceptable.

I’ll bet anyone who wants to bet that we host a regional this season

Bianco does this every season. He lost to SE this past Tuesday.
I get it, we lost to A&M twice. That's not on Woodward.
We fix the errors and it's a different game tonight and last night and in the games in Houston. These errors have been a problem since the season started.

I was wondering how long this would take.

Can we send him his son to play Left Field?

You are right about this, but the defensive ineptitude has been appalling. We are averaging about one failure every two innings. That will never win.
Berry simply cannot play in the field, except maybe first base. You could cut his errors in half at first, because at least he wouldn’t have to throw the ball much. DH is where he needs to be.
Thompson should be benched. We would take a step back, but it might focus his mind so that when he comes back he would play focused. I would say the same about Doughty, but that’s too many problems to fix at one time, and at least Doughty is raking.
Milazzo will fix the catcher problem when he returns, and we can go back to using McManus as an offensive substitution.
If you fix the defense the pitching would suddenly seem a lot better. Our pitchers are having to get about 32 outs per game, and that’s too much.

Bianco has been building that program for 2 decades. Johnson hasn't even been at LSU for a full recruiting cycle. What kind of comparison do you think this is? Where do you people come from?

We are witnessing the end results of CPM airmailing it in after our 2009 Championship. Baseball isn't going to be very entertaining this year, and possibly next year, but thank God we have so many spoiled brat, crybaby fans to keep our forums interesting. We are going to need them this year and next. I hope they hang around for football too!

This place is constantly in full panic mode.

Bianco isn’t as terrible as this place makes him out to be but he will come crashing down just in time to lose a super regional at home

When basketball fans pretend to know baseball. Jesus.
Johnson was well known in baseball circles, having gotten to the CWS a couple of times.

And if he would have lost a midweek game to SLU here last week, you would have lost your mind.

Won game one. Blown out in game two. Blew out Auburn in game three.

I guess you missed the parade of ex players on ESPN 104.5 acting like Bianco was a done deal and how great he would be. There was definitely a campaign to make Bianco the coach in local radio. If local media went crazy about anyone, it was Bianco.

Who cares what Todd Walker says when I can listen to the input of guys on here who played three years of varsity 2A baseball.

Yup. PM didn't leave JJ much in the way of pitching. Can't really judge JJ too much until he gets a couple classes here and a few seasons under his belt.
