I'll throw out Jobert's HR in G2 vs UF because nobody beats us us by 21 runs in Omaha.

It was a prelude because you knew UF was screwed when he hit that. Thompson’s rbi hit in Game 3 was big for a number of reasons.
Those bottom 4 crushed it in Game 3.

When Crews stretched that double into a triple against UF. It was like oh you want to steal up by 15? Aight take that shite.

What about Thompson’s play on the ricochet off Morgan for an out at first. A run scored on that play but if Thompson doesn’t make that play to get that out it felt like a Florida rally may uncap.

He doesn't make that catch things could have been dramatically different for us.

LSU loses game one and there is no way they would have been able to win two games with Skenes only being available for 50ish pitches so I agree.

Still wondering if Thompson lets it bounce into Dugas equals a double play. Seemed like the speed of Pearson's throw would have gotten to Dugas fast then Thompson's cut-off.

We don’t have the best angle but it doesn’t look like the throw is on line with the base.

Thought it was over off the bat.

By far the most consequential play with the game in the balance. Outstanding catch!!!

EVERYONE watching, including Langford, thought the game was over the second the ball was hit. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.

While I don't know if LSU gets beaten by (what seemed like) 73 runs the next day had that play not been made, I'm pretty confident they would not have won the series had they lost game 1.

At the game and thought that was definitely a game winning hit for UF off the bat.

I do remember one of the broadcasters mentioning the fact that had he not made that catch, it would be a different game. You’re right about underrated. Should be a SC highlight all off-season, IMO.

Thatcher Hurd’s immaculate recovery from a 2-0, 2 hit, nobody out 1st inning game start in the final game. Cant be said enough how much intestinal fortitude that took.
