Ok, so we’re paying his buyout too then? Because without some really damning evidence that he was directly involved in the coverups, they won’t get out of paying him to go away. And if he can be fired with cause, then things will get really bad for a couple of years and no one worth a damn will take this job.

That's really my most realistic want, but I fear they wouldn't want to touch him. I doubt seriously he would get into any trouble a 2nd time around though.

O needs to be fired. Now, not next year. He is an embarrassment to LSU. Can you imagine the BOT watching his sideline antics? This program has serious locker room issues that he cannot solve. He is a position coach.....a damn good one, but no more than that. I look for it to happen when the rape incidents are settled.

A few weeks ago you said LSU handled everything correctly and even Verge deleting the text and not reporting Davis wasn’t an issue because she wasn’t enrolled at the time. What has changed?

The idea that the buck stopped with Verge and Mickey Joseph on the Drake situation is laughable.
Whatever Mickey knew, O knew.
If they try to make Mickey a scapegoat he is going to go scorched earth on this program, and he can too. He knows where the bodies are buried in recruiting, so to speak.

Yet coaches do it all the time. Aranda came to LSU for Miles, who was in a far weaker position than O is now. Herman just hired a new OC and DC at Texas with everyone knowing this was his last chance to fix things before getting fired.
Guys want to coach at a top SEC program and they all saw how Brady and Aranda took the next step after succeeding here. A few may pass, but getting guys won’t be the issue. It’s O picking the right ones that’s the problem.

Who do you replace O with that wouldn’t cause our recruiting class to tank?
Because bottom line is without that class coming in, Nick Saban isn’t getting results with this roster.
