this is what i was told this weekend
she was not handling her course work and was falling behind, CKM put her on the shelf to focus on her classwork, improve her attitude and make sure she stays eligible in the spring
she is not suspended officially, she is still on the team and she will return after she passes some landmarks in her course work and her eligibility for the spring is secure

As a last resort there is the Wintersession where student athletes re-take courses they failed in the Fall. It would be best if it not come to that since those courses are five days a week, six hours a day. You basically cram a full semester’s worth of work into two weeks.
If the quoted post is what’s really happening, let’s hope Angel passes her coursework in the Fall and avoids the Wintersession. I know Cox Academic Center for Student Athletes will have all hands on deck.

I think it has to be more than just grades. She didn't get benched at halftime because CKM suddenly got a message about her grades. We may never know for sure unless we notice an attitude change.

Agree. Benching in middle of a game has nothing to do with grades. She said something to a coach or player would be my guess but I have info to support that. Just what the optics look like

You can’t put yourself out there and say hey look at me, and then when you find it inconvenient change your mind.

We haven’t played a tournament team since she has been out. Virginia was the only team with a pulse and they lost by 15 to the #25 team in the country. LSU went down to the wire with them.
