Orgeron wasn’t fired from Ole Miss for failing to win a championship, he was fired from there because they were downright awful.
His recruits did okay for them in year 4. Houston Nutt was doing well until Orgeron's recruits graduated.

Yeah he's basically a scummy politician, with a violent past to boot. But I dont have to like the man to want him to lead my favorite program to championships. Saban was and is a shite human but I still wanted LSU to win every game when he was here.

That's a ringing endorsement for O if Ive ever seen one!

Anyone want me to repeat the whole "You have this white board in the AD's office with the best coaches, NFL and College, in America on it and you start listing them from top to bottom..." again...or have we all seen it 100 times now?
Amen! The idea that a PROVEN LOSER and journeyman DL coach was LSU’s best option as HC is both laughable and very sad. And what’s more depressing is that some truly believe that was the best poor old LSU could do.

I’ll give you that I spoke in general terms about a group of people that think a certain way and that is never a good idea. My mistake, agreed, but calling someone a liar for that is a little strong I think. Maybe not.

these guys are just following the herd. they really know very little about the state of LSU football as it currently stands. all they know is how bad O was at ole miss. they might as well be critiquing northing bumfrick's HC as they know little about him either.

Exactly. If by some miracle ED doesn’t set this program back a couple decades and actually wins meaningful games consistently. Then I’m in all in.
Until then it’s skepticisim.

Well fine. One guy can't coach, the other can't recruit.

With all the questions surrounding the offense, who does?

The whole country knows this. Predictions of a 7-win season and Orgeron being on the hot seat aren't based on nothing.

Like our worst loss to MSU in program history?
Or the embarrassing loss to Troy which broke our decade long streak?
Or is it being the laughing stock of CFB around the country?
Which part do we know little about?

I just don’t get how so many people can be so negative about the guy.
Here's the deal. Orgeron will either win or not, respect is earned and not given. He's got his first chance to impress this coming weekend
I have some doubts, but do like some of his personnel moves so I'll try to keep an open mind

quote:no we watched last year and his interim year. At ole miss he was one of the worst coaches in sec history. At LSU he’s beaten one good team in auburn (4 loss team). Has lost horrible games LSU has no business losing and hasn’t come close to beating bama. So why fire miles for O? Miles needed to go but for a proven winner not a proven loser
very little about the state of LSU football

Any of them

You do realize you are making O sound more incompetent by saying this

Again, why hate on a guy for getting a job, was O supposed to not even try to get a job bc it would piss off people like you?
Because the logic of not blaming someone for an action they took, and wanted, leads to some really weird logic, see posts below about not blaming Miles, or not blaming O if he fails, etc.
Self awareness is important, and a lack of it doesn't absolve someone of responsibility.

No crap. Im really not sure why anyone likes or respects him.
I would describe him but not interesting in getting Banned right before the season starts.
