The very first pass of that game I knew he was in trouble and so was LSU.

Nuss was hurt we all knew that and he did what his coaching told him to do and that was to just lay low and keep it in the locker room. Hope all the best for the kid he waited his time too bad he got injured we would have been pretty dam good with a healthy Nuss

Throw in the massive money for ads like the one with the Mannings/Raisin’ Cains guy. Nuss being a dedicated person would have tried to earn his keep for his friends and $$$$ contract obligations. He fought through it and I hope he does well forward. Regardless I have doubts that his immobility and innate nature to avoid contact (won’t/can’t run for that reason) will make him a successful Pro product. But maybe with the right team. Knowing what we now know, good luck Nuss.

I can say that Ive been dealing with a core injury I sustained in the Clemson game

Bullf ucking shite

He was hurt before the season started and the coaches went with it.

I am glad to see the new coach going after qb talent.

Not one not two but three qbs that will be game ready.

I suppose the ex NFL players, attending the Sr Bowl practice, don't have your expertise in judging talent.
So far he has been rated in the top two or three QBs, throwing the ball.

How many SEC QBs have passed. for 4000 yards in a season?
That was with Kelly and a host of other offensive coaches that are hated by the fans.

haven't been a big fan of Nuss and to be honest, I dont believe he was truly injured. He may have played hurt, but a core injury doesn't mean you throw to checkdowns every single time.

Yeah it kinda does mean you don’t air it out more often…

This is so overblown. His offensive structure sucked. Not every player excels off the jump or in second year starting. It took JD5 and Bo Nix 3-4 years of starting before they took off. Nuss had 1 and his 1st season as a starter was better than their first, second, or third year as a starter and arguably their 4th. SMH

No, we are just intelligent enough to realize 2024 wasnt nearly as good as fans like you think.

Multiple games with 50% or less completions and finished the year with turnovers than TDs in SEC play.

Wait until you see Joe Burrow's stats from 2018...

You don’t tell the opposing team details on your injured players, dumbarse.

11 including Nuss. Nuss joins the list of SEC greats, including Joe Burrow, Bryce Young, Mac Jones, Johnny Manziel... and Will Rogers, Kyle Trask, Jaxson Dart, Tim Couch, Stetson Bennett, and Chad Kelly. The only QB on the list with a worse YPA is Will Rogers.

Nuss had 525 passing attempts in 2024 over 13 games. There are probably multiple QBs in LSU's history that could have thrown for 4,000 with that many attempts.

Would the OP have preferred Nuss wear a shirt that says "Free BK"?

Um, we're required to provide injury reports now just like the NFL

quote:

To promote the integrity of competition, the wellbeing of student-athletes and institutional staff, and public transparency, beginning with the 2024-25 academic year, the Southeastern Conference implemented a policy applicable to football, men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball, that requires SEC institutions to accurately disclose to the public—via a standardized availability report (“Availability Report”)—when a student-athlete’s ability to participate in an upcoming game involving two SEC institutions is uncertain for any reason, subject to the terms and conditions set forth below.
1.Timing of Initial Disclosure

The deadline for an institution to release an initial Availability Report (“Initial Report”) prior to a game is set forth below by sport:
•Football: Wednesday by 7:00 pm Central time / 8:00 pm Eastern time for a Saturday game (or, for any non-Saturday game, three nights before the game by 7:00 pm Central time / 8:00 pm Eastern time).
•Basketball: The night before a game by 7:00 pm Central time / 8:00 pm Eastern time (or, for an institution that played a game the day before, by 11:00 am local time the day of the game, or two hours before the game starts, whichever is earlier).
•Baseball: The night before a game by 7:00 pm Central time / 8:00 pm Eastern time (or, for an institution that played a game the day before, by 11:00 am local time the day of the game, or two hours before the game starts, whichever is earlier).

2.Designated Participation Statuses
If an institution has knowledge that a student-athlete may not be able to participate in the upcoming game for any reason (including, but not limited to, injury, illness, suspension, ineligibility, or personal matter), the institution must accurately designate the student-athlete’s participation status on the Initial Report as follows:

•Out (i.e., will not play/0% chance to play);
•Doubtful (i.e., unlikely to play/25% chance to play);
•Questionable (i.e., uncertain to play/50% chance to play); or
•Probable (i.e., probable to play/75% chance to play).

There are also penalties for not complying
quote:

In football, if a financial penalty is appropriate, the following penalty schedule applies to the offending institution
:•First Offense: $25,000 penalty
•Second Offense: $50,000 penalty
•Third Offense and Any Successive Offense: $100,000 penalty

In addition, the head coach of the offending institution is subject to accountability measures, including a financial penalty, as appropriate given the circumstances. A coach who is a repeat violator of this policy is subject to progressively higher penalties.

Core injuries dont affect decision making. Core injuries affect velocity, and potentially accuracy but the fact that Nuss missed guys wide open downfield and instead threw to checkdowns tells me a lot.

I just want to say that you are unequivocally an idiot.

Have you ever thrown a football? Try doing it without rotating your core.

Are you arguing with yourself? If an injury causes a lack of velocity and accuracy, how do you realistically expect him to push the ball down field, regardless of who was open? When you throw in the fact the 2025 receiving core was terrible at route running and rarely got separation, and almost all routes were run to the outside making the throws longer, this is just stupid.

What athlete declines their paycheck after getting hurt on the field/court?If you get hurt at work, will you tell your employer there is no longer a need to pay you? What a dumbass thing to say!

These are the posters that give LSU fans a bad name. Don't know shite about ball, but post like they ae degreed experts.

You are correct! We have way to many hypocritical and toxic fans. What is funny though, is if Nuss starts lighting it up in the pros, they will back track. "I knew it was the injury", "I knew it was BK", "Way to be a Tiger", and crap like that.
