Vaught Hemingway was rocking Saturday night. No one left, everyone was on their feet and having a great time. Games there are truly enjoyable.

How’s the fan experience inside of the stadium? 68k sounds good to me if it means not being crammed in between too many fat asses that don’t fit on the row

Great…one of the nicer stadiums I have been in. Not a bad seat in the house!

70% capacity is still more than them. Let’s be honest if LSU stadium was only 68,000 it would be 100% capacity every week

How it looks matters

No use boasting 102k if it’s not at capacity in the 4th quarter

I could dunk a tennis ball in high school.

Not sure I’d be trying to dunk on Ole Miss touting a sold out crowd while LSU ran at 70% capacity this weekend

Do math, 70% of 100k is still more than their sold out crowd

In a state with half our population that has two SEC schools, that’s not too bad. Heck half of the population of Mississippi is closer to Baton Rouge than Oxford.

As someone has already pointed out, it’s about fan experience. I’ve been to many games at Ole Miss and the numbers don’t tell the tale. The Square, the Grove and the stadium are all great places to be with enthusiastic but respectful fans. Nobody gets shot at and everyone seems happy just to be there. Honestly, it’s a great experience.

Well, it couldn’t be any higher due to stadium size.

That doubles our numbers after halftime, though.

He won’t be a good fit at LSU. Telling fans how to act is not acceptable here. We tell coaches what must be done, not the other way around. And we are leaving at halftime of close games against conference opponents. He fussed at Ole Miss fans for leaving Furman and Tulsa games at halftime.

It's also roughly $3mill per game, every game.

I'd rather have a packed small stadium than a half full huge stadium

I dont know what you are trying to prove. They have a smaller stadium? They also beat us this year.
exactly.

And besides, when I was a kid, Tiger Stadium's capacity was about 80,000 and was still loud as hell.

Size doesn't matter.

Well when they capacity is 64k and change..... that's a packed house.

LSU should reduce capacity down to about 75k.

Someone on here had stats as to the population in Oxford vs BR. Ole miss basically has 3x their population attend games whereas BR is maybe 1/4.
