Looks like people are finally awaking to what some of us have known for years... Paul Pasta Sauce is the Les Miles of baseball.

Paul Pasta Sauce....wow I laughed so hard at that I almost puked. That's so rich.

So you have known for years, eh? Goddammit you are so smart. Thanks for gracing us with this knowledge.

Only on tRant will you see the folks shite on one national championship coach just to insult another one.

We need a lot more players built like Deichman and a lot less built like Kramer.

Coomes, Romero, Pap, and Beau Jordan all guys get plenty of playing time built closer to Deichmann than Kramer. They all play positions that you usually have a bigger guy playing.

Freeman, Smith, Duplantis, and Watson built more like Kramer. Freeman and Watson play second and center where you usually have smaller guys there. Smith and Duplantis are smaller guys playing a position where bigger guys can play but they both play those positions really well and both are doing good enough at the plate. Duplantis is doing really good at the plate.

So basically half of your normal 10 players that play are bigger guys.

But none of those other players that you mentioned are power hitters. Deichman is the only player in the lineup that scares an opposing pitcher if he makes a mistake pitch. Deichman has no protection in this lineup.

Right now I'm more worried about our bullpen than the hitting though to be honest.

Besides Rooker, what Miss St batter "scares an opposing pitcher"?

The player who bats behind Rooker is their SS and he only has 5 homeruns. Rooker has 19 HR's and the player with the second most HRs only has 6.

Kentucky, with their Little League short right field fence, has a HR leader with only 10 homeruns.

The idea of a team loading up with a lineup of power hitters just ain't so anymore....

Florida, who had arguably the best team in baseball on paper the last two years and nothing to show for it.
so, if a team doesn't win the nc, they have "nothing." yet, pm apologists get mad at criticism because you can't expect to win it all every season.

florida has plenty right now. they've been quite competitive in omaha over the last several seasons. much, much more so than lsu.

are you just completely oblivious to the cws discussion taking place in this thread? of course you are. hey, it's still early in the season. that's just baseball. midweek games mean nothing. you can't be expected to win it all every season.

More than a decade has passed since Skip's tenure. Most fan's perspective is still viewed from that era. While we need to do more as a program to be successful, it is past time for Tiger fans to adjust their perspective. It's not the same game that was being played back in our hay days.

LSU baseball should be able to weather the storms. It's should be able to adjust to the game play. We should attract the best talent and get the best coaches to coach them. Why? It's LSU baseball. We shouldn't lower our standards because the game has changed...we should adapt, and be the best. That's the LSU baseball I know. Buncha fricking pussies.

We have HS sized players for the most part, so our power is extremely limited. You would think with smaller, quicker guys, we'd be made for small ball, right? Nope, we got little guys swinging wildly for the warning track. I agree with your post, but we're NOT adapting to changes and while we may be weathering the storms right now, we're not rising above them, which is sad.

Every team LSU plays seems to have players who are larger in stature, maybe PM is afraid to recruit too many guys larger than himself

Good lord people, we're in striking distance for the conf championship and hosting a regional. Problem is, none of y'all were in the Box pre Skip or at TS before Saban. As a result you can't handle anything that's not total dominance. This is a very young team playing in the best conference in the country, get real Nancy

No school will dominate baseball like the old days. Plenty of schools put money into the baseball programs now.

Outside of coastal from last year, who are these teams winnjng championships with homerun hitters through out their lineups?
After ucla won, everyone on the rant said we needed to go towards that way of playing, now everyone thinks this way. Why cant yall just admit that there are multiple styles that can win it all.

Also, for everyone ripping on us for having smaller players? Please specify which of these guys shouldnt be at lsu
