OVER with 1260 14 TDs.

Hill had 740 yards and 12 TDs in 8 games with a true freshman tackle, true sophmore guard, and a redshirt freshman guard.

Fournette has a potential first round senior LT with 25 starts , a senior center with 14 starts, a junior left guard with 21 starts, a RS sophomore RT with 13 starts, and a senior RG who has yet to be decided, but is definitely a road grater.

Fournette is getting a line with 73 starts. When Hill first played behind this line, I don't even know if they had half the experience. I re watched the UA game and Fournette has quicker feer, quicker change of direction, more speed, and more power than Hill. He also has better hands. Something drastic would have to happen for him not to blow up.

And what will you do if he doesn't?

Nothing, but come on. Michael Dyer, Marcus Lattimore, Alex Collins, Todd Gurley. You guys are acting like we are setting the impossible.

Hill had a green oline, no pass game, and four RBs to beat out while he was a freshman and still averaged over 90 rush yards in 8 games. He didnt even get to play against Washington, North Texas and Towson. He would have been around 1100 yards and 16-18 TDs as a freshman if he did. Fournette has Magee who just came along last year and Hilliard, who basically a fullback.

Hill had 142 carries in 8 games as a freshman, which is 213 carries in 12 games.

This, a lot of people have slept on Magee basically since he walked onto campus with all of the bigger names, and all he has done is proven to be a very good back. He deserves to write his his check for the NFL this year. Fournette is special and will get his carries, but this should be Magee's backfield first.

Magee was so far behind that he switched to WR in 2012 because he couldn't break a five deep RB squad. Fournette will own that backfield by SEC play.

Magee had one hell of an offseason between 2012-2013 and jumped up to second on the depth chart. Behind Hill, was second on the team in rushing, TD's, and lead all running backs with 7.3 yards per carry.

Well it wasn't exactly like he was behind a bunch of slouches. One of those guys is still on the team, and the other three are in the NFL.

Regardless, I fail to see how that's even remotely relevant. He had a great season last year, and was in the shadow of the second RB taken in this year's draft. I'm as excited & optimistic about Fournette as anybody, but Magee has earned his spot as the premier back on the team.

I don't care how many yards he runs, as long as it is enough for LSU to win the game.

Anything less than a touchdown every time he touches the ball will be a failure!

Magee is not going to start over a running back who is bigger, faster, stronger and more agile. Buga Nation frick the world.

A. Let's let the guy play a down of college football before we start with predictions.

B. No matter how good he may be and how good our OL may be, if defenses stack to box against us, rushing yards may be tough to get. With a new QB and WRs, defenses will try to take away our running game and make Jennings/Harris throw. If we can show defenses that we can move the ball through the air, the running game will open up. If not - prepare for a rough offensive season.

But he will get some goal-line touches to score more TD's than you'd expect
