Omaha happens in the summer, not around a major travel holiday and the most financially taxing time of the year.

Add to that the fact that there will be at least two games involving the Tigers in Omaha, and that tickets aren't as expensive as they are for a bowl game.

No guarantee we make the NC game, plus tickets will be ridiculously expensive.

Not talking about the Sugar Bowl. Talking about how well UGA traveled when they were in the exact same situation 2 years ago. I don’t blame them for not traveling to the Sugar Bowl.

to be fair, Georgia played in the Rose Bowl, which is an iconic place that most SEC teams have never played in before. People have been to Atlanta a bunch of times.

You said how they travel over the next 2 years. That would imply Regular season games and Bowl games. I would think a bad showing at the best non-playoff New Year's Six Bowl matchup this year (#5 vs #7) would show a decline in their travelling.

What does that have to do with anything? You’re just making more excuses. There’s a big difference between UGA not traveling to the Sugar Bowl for the 2nd straight year in a meaningless game and us not traveling to our first ever CFP semifinal game.

We could not have received a better semifinal site in terms of ease of traveling and affordability.

It’s the freaking CFP semifinal. It’s about the event, not the location.

This is such a bullshite take. People aren't going because they are lazy or simply do not want to. This is just some excuse LSU uses when we get outnumbered 80/20 at neutral site games.
Oklahoma didn’t even sellout their allotment tard

Has it been mentioned that a ton of folks travelled to Texas and bought very expensive tickets. We travelled very well to Nashville. People went to Tuscaloosa. I didn’t check but am assuming tickets were expensive. Then the SECCG, now semifinal and then the championship game.

A ticket on Gametime before fees is $110 or so. Not bad

I think you people are making way too big of a deal out of this situation. Just to remind everyone, La is a pretty poor state. Not everyone wants to blow their whole savings account to go to Atlanta when most went a for the SEC chaampionship game and are planning on an expensive ticket in Nola.

LSU is still a top 5 football school as far as fan support goes. Be happy about it and stop being vaginas about it.

There's hotels in Sandy Springs for $80/night. It's a nice area and you can take Marta for $5 round trip to the game. Tickets are going to be less than $50 by game day. Gas is cheap. People are really overplaying this we ain't got no money excuse as to why LSU fans don't travel.

What does Oklahoma's allotment have to do with this? They have a much more valid excuse of "Not wanting to watch their team get dismantled". Tard

Most did not go to the SECCG. The excuse for that was because people were saving money for the playoffs.

And the fact that UGA was in the game and prices were fairly high.

I really think if/when the playoffs expand to 6 or 8 teams the first rounds need to be at higher seed's home stadium. Maybe semi-finals, too. Just have the championship at the neutral site. (And, yes, I know the big bowls would balk at this idea.)
