We’re ranked in the top 10 in a 12 team playoff system. That by definition is squarely in the picture. I’m not sure what year your fantasy is in but it’s strange.

Franklin has been there 12.5 seasons.
He is 1-11 vs Ohio State and jsut lost to UCLA and Northwestern

This a serious question? Penn State is a money school. LSU is not. Penn State has one of the biggest collectives in the country. They can afford NOT to settle for less. LSU isn't poor, but they don't have 60 million freely laying around on top of the roster expenses, etc. to ditch a coach. Between Petrino and Franklin they've spent like 200 million ditching them. They don't care about money and why should they when they're one of the richest schools? Their rabid fanbase dumps into their NIL collective as well, unlike LSU fans.

TAMU probably looks like best team in SEC right now from a week-to-week basis. But yeah, not exactly any teams you can point to definitely separating. Ohio State has a cupcake schedule and has played NOBODY.

This thread is hilarious on multiple fronts and many of these comments show just how many dumbasses are in the LSU fanbase.
1. A buyout for Franklin is basically 50 mill. They also have to buy out all coaches, hire new coaches, pay their players to not run away, and pay for new recruits and a shite ton of transfers. Good luck with that.
2. James Franklin is in his 12th year of Penn St, brought back 2 one thousand yard rushers, a 3rd year starter at QB, multiple NFL level defenders, and a nice portal class and STILL lost 3 games in half a season. He didn't lose his 3rd game last year until the 3rd round of the playoffs.
3. He literally lost to every power 4 team he has played this year. The last two teams he lost to are worse than Clemson, Florida, and South Carolina.
