How many times does this need to be discussed?
Orgeron was the fall back choice after Texas landed Herman. There were no home run hires to be evaluated. Alleva's only Plan B was Orgeron.
Miles had to go and should have been axed after the 3 game bludgeoning we took in 2015. Miles was out of bullets. No QB or decent skill players were coming to play in his antiquated, moribund offenses.
I am certain the thinking was that Orgeron would recruit well enough to win or, at a minimum, leave the cupboard well stocked for his successor.

So that is all the prep work that went into it? If Herman does not work out go to O? Well, that explains why LSU football is in the shape it is. Would top flight programs conduct such a search with NO REAL PLAN as did LSU? Probably not.
The topic bears discussion so long as LSU remains an also ran in CFB.

I'm not a bitter person. I could be and I doubt people would blame me but I'm not. I can't stand bullshite and I call it out. Try to use your noggin a little bit. No one wants LSU to lose but ol Ed has shown no signs that he's capable of bringing this team back to prominence. He can do enough in the short term to fool some people but he can't ever keep it up. He doesn't have what it takes.
