7
special teams, he coulda woulda shoulda fixed already
3&1, 4&1 on own side of field from shotgun.... if u cant trust your line and back/qb to push for one yard....2x?
time outs after commercial break?
i know there were some other HC calls that had me questioning him.....
but we’ve beat MS, AU and UF.....
so i pray he gets to a 9/10 winning and cleaning up ST and real time on the field calls...

I would say 7 or 8 right now, on pace to be a 9.5.
This is a rebuild year, a year to set the foundation. It's incomplete right now, but we've seen hints of what he will establish.
The team is in great condition, and will not be worn down. That will continue.
Great mental toughness, every game (except Tennessee) we've responded to some serious challenge and adversity and kept pushing.
Fla St- down a score late, other team inside the 5 to finish us off. Held long enough that the opponent fricked up and gave us a chance. Then, still down a score, less than 2 minutes, 99 yds to go- we drive the length of the field, and do everything but make the XP.
Miss State, Auburn- both SEC opponents who came out early and got up multiple scores. Auburn was on the road. Could have gave up both games, and it end up like Tennessee. Hung in both games, turned it around, and won both.
Tennessee; shite happens, and they're better than we are right now. That game just gives us a yardstick to measure ourselves now.
Florida- a road game against an SEC team in about the same situation as us, trying to rebuild to past levels of glory. Fla had the Utah game under their belt for confidence, and the added "Tom Petty day" thing to pump the crowd up. That was a big game, and our fanbase was quite vocal about our offense (and particularly the QB).
Instead of being cautious and defensive, we came out focused and full of fight; we saw the offense finally show what it COULD be. Our maligned QB looked brilliant that game. You could see what he could do throwing to our WRs, and you could see what his mobility means to the scheme.
At this point, we've seen everything we have wanted to see, and now the big thing will be how we finish. 2 SEC home games left against top 10 opponents, you'd like to see us defend Tiger Stadium. At least put up a fight, it would be great to take one of those.
2 SEC road games against beatable teams (who could still beat us). Really want to see us win at least one of them.
Plus the OOC game against UAB, that needs to be a strong win.
8-4, win one of the home and one on the road, plus the OOC, and you have to give him an A.
Yearlong special teams issues keep it from being an A+.
If you can get Boutte to emerge and show out the rest of the season, might bump it back up to A+

With 1 = Marcus freeman and 10 = Saban I’d give him a 8.5-9.
I don’t think many people realIize how bad the cultural was at lsu when he took over. NCAA infractions, one of the worst rosters in football, racial/political tension, zero accountability, entitled attitudes and much much more. Forget X’s and O’s, the cultural rebuild should have taken years. He’s navigated that and has us performing beyond our capabilities. If special teams wasn’t such a nagging issue I would give him a 10.5

Be a 10 if he beats Ole Miss

I'll say 7.5-8 . Would be a 9 if we had beaten FSU. I'm happy though and optimistic. Needs to take special teams away from Polian though or send him packing altogether.

He inherited a team that was one game under 500 for the two previous years, a team that lost 4 OL starters from the previous year which has necessitated going with 2 true freshman OL guys, a D that ranked 10th in the SEC the previous year, and a starting QB who hadn’t played a down of football for LSU and wasn’t named the starter until the week of the first game.
To this point in time, 8.5.

SO FAR: 8.5/10
He’s got the team aligned quickly when we were in a scary position to end last year. He was also able to make adjustments in his first 2 career SEC games that led to huge comebacks. We’ve looked kind of archaic on offense most of the season though that triggers Les offense PTSD at times. First time ever road victories in same season at JH and the Swamp though.
What I hope to get out of him is at least one win out of either Ole Miss or Bama to show he’s capable of winning big games. If he does that, and we’re at 6-3 then I boost him to a 9.5 going into the final quarter of the season.
If he gets this team to a 10 win season with a bowl win and A&M road victory then that is a full blown 10/10 performance by him this season.

Solid 8 And win this weekend would put him at 9

Take 7 out of the equation and the only answer is an 8.
Week 1 was pretty ugly and a tune up game certainly would have helped. The Tenn game people are quick to forget this week. Part of that is beating UF and part of that is realizing UT is legit.
The special teams are the big drag for BK. We'll see how the team plays this week. You'd like to think they get better throughout the year.

I will wait til the season is over to rate CBK, but I have liked most of what I have seen from him even with this scaled down roster.

I'm going with a 7 at the moment with a 60/40 On-Off field,
weight.
Off-Field he's earned at least an 8/9 for putting together what he has and handling the recruiting and SEC culture adaptation.
On field is a 6.5. We've seen progress and we've fought hard and had some games bounce our way (AU/MState). Some really really bad blunders on ST (FSU and beyond) that should never ever exist and I'm not talking positional issues or the blocked kicks either (these guys have been playing since middle school and can't seem to catch a damn football). Most people myself included didn't have unrealistic expectations, but we DID expect a better product on the field then we've seen. I expected the Florida & MState level gameplay all year. Instead we have Auburn and FSU and even Tenn...
Overall, I'm encouraged, but I'm also wary of a complete meltdown during the back half of our schedule... At least we'll be bowl eligible but 6-6 is still a FSU gameplay away.
