You’ve said that Kelly is better than a number of coaches because “accolades and record” yet you have Freeman above Kelly despite Kelly meeting your standard of the better coach. Again it’s as subtle as a brick to the face.

Maybe youre just angry but its pretty simple.....Freeman had Notre Dame in the title game last year in just his 3rd year of head coaching. Brian Kelly didnt do it til his 8th year of coaching Notre Dame. Freeman winning percentage is 41-12 after 4 years. Brian Kelly was 37-15. Its not rocket science, kid.

Ah yes, make up some nonsensical label to deflect then spew some more drivel. The fact remains you’re using a double standard because none of your takes are grounded in fact or reason.

There's a major distinction you don't see here. Kiffin is doing it in the SEC the most competitive conference. Those 2 guys never did. Major difference. He's also doing it at a historically weak team in Ole Miss who's mid tier at their best.

Why are you on our boards btw? Still living rent free in your heads? Tell Freeman to get invited to SEC and let's see how good he does week in and week out with competitive games. You don't go 8 weeks without playing a team with a pulse in this conference. Someone like Arkansas who's winless would win in other conferences with one of the best offenses in the country.

Kelly had ND in the title game in year 3 too.

Freeman also got to take over a ND team that won 54 games the 5 prior seasons.

So Kiffin is making $9 mil a year at Ole Miss and LSU is offering $13 mil. All I’ll say is he better take it because if LSU let’s their offer be leaked and it’s turned down, then LSU comes out looking awful and their “2nd choice coach” would also have a stench on him when it’s made so obvious who they wanted first

It’s not all about the contract dollars for himself. It’s about the money for staff and NIL money for the roster. That’s what he knows will give him the opportunity to be successful.

I think it's 7 year contract.

For the record, I'm doubtful that Freeman could go to Ole Miss and win 10+ a year.
Doubt Kelly could either.

I’m beating a dead horse at this point, but…

Lane Kiffin could have gone the past 5 years at Ole Miss without beating a single team that finished ranked and still had three 10-2 regular seasons.

Using that same line of thinking at LSU, we would have gone: 9-3 (x1 season), 8-4 (x3 seasons), and 7-5 (x1 season).

Ole Miss’ schedule the past 2 seasons has been more favorable than anything we’ve seen at LSU for 20+ years. Their SEC opponents not named Georgia are a combined 13-35 in SEC play this year. And that includes Oklahoma!

That’s not to say they’re a bad team. They aren’t. But all the talk about “winning at Ole Miss, of all places” is ignoring the reality that Ole Miss and LSU have played dramatically different schedules the past few years.

I think Lane’s a good coach. There’s nobody else on the board who looks as good on paper right now. If we land him, I hope he brings us back to the promised land. Hell if nothing else, it’ll be entertaining. I just don’t think it’s nearly as much of a can’t-miss hire as people are making it out to be, and I think there’s a major flaw in the “if he did that at OM, imagine what he could do at LSU” logic.

The last Ole Miss coach who never won Jack that we hired won a NC for us.

Hell, he was the worst coach in their history, imagine what a top 3 coach in Ole Miss history could do here.

Unfreaking believable! Didn’t we just do this? Guaranteed money is the root of all failures.

Ouch! That’s an inadvertently harsh, yet hilarious description of Ole Miss.

Spellcheck did you a solid right there.

Woodward was actually interfering behind the scenes in football going all the way back when CEO had to make his defense coordinator decisions and Jay was not happy with Woodward either…

The last ten years here is a list of active coaches who have won conference titles. Winning jack means jack.

You're either not getting or don't want the coaches that won jack.
