I know you hate Saban and his time at LSU but you can find other things to attack him
Holy shite.
So now stating facts about west teams finishing top 10 and west teams finishing with 10 wins is attacking Saban? It's called reality brother.
quote:
Was it better, yes barely though.
bullshite. In 5 years of saban the sec west produced 3 teams with top 10 finishes.
The last 5 years have produced 10 teams that finished top 10.
quote:
I agree with most of what you're saying but you don't need to exaggerate to make your point.
What? Please show me where I'm exaggerating?
IMO,3 top 10 teams is significantly lower than 10 top 10 finishes.
Anyway we will never agree on this let's just stop because we both know how this ends. Cursing at each other for 2 hours
Posted on 4/1/17 at 11:37 pm to Rickdaddy4188
Well I could show you that Sabans record vs top 5 teams and top 10 teams while at LSU was almost double what Miles's was and that Saban absolutely coached against more than 1 top 5 team while here. But your hatred wouldn't let you accept it. I know you like to be accurate about the facts you present that's why I chimed in but in this case it's clear you don't care so sorry buddy I didn't mean to upset you, my bad. Talk at cha later.

Who is paying the posters that constantly bring up miles just to shite on him?
You can't ever start a thread that talks up a former lsu player doing well in the nfl, without posters turning it into a shite on miles and his tenure at lsu.

Stating facts isnt hatred. This k's one of the few places where posting facts somehow means you're shitting or defending someone.
I stated the amount of west teams that finished in the top 10 during Saban's tenure and somehow that me shitting on Saban.
quote:
buddy I didn't mean to upset you,
In no way am i upset. The person using facts doesnt need to get upset.
So you don't think 2 top 10 opponents is significantly worse than 9 top 10 opponents?

Les probably wasn't even a top 25 coach
To say Les wasn't a top 25 coach, makes you an idiot!
If you want to be technical on CPM , his only championship came with mostly Smoke's players! That's a fact.
CPM has had great teams (can't argue that) but he has turned that sign in right field into, just a history lesson.

The Gibbs hire was very Miles-like--nepotistic at a crucial coaching spot. After all, the hitting coach is your offensive coordinator in many ways.
Other than Dunn, all of CPM's staff played for him. That dangerously leads to stale and inbred thinking, though having a staff of potential "yes men" would provide a head coach with a comfortable situation--for as long as he could get away with it.

Wait and see, baseball can be a streaky game

quote:Well, actually that would be Women's Track & Field with 25 national championships, but if you're only referring to sports that fans care about, I agree with you...
Baseball: the sport with more national titles than any other sport at LSU.

NCAA team championships
Women's (25)
Indoor Track and Field (11): 1987, 1989, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2002, 2003, 2004

LSU Baseball, Was Never that bad, since Jack Lamabe. Smoke Laval, had brought the program down, but nowhere near rock bottom, and look where we are since 2009, not close to seeing a National Championship

Maineri actually rebuilt LSU baseball from the ground up

Yes. The EXCUSES that some on here to defend him like overall. Stats say so.

Jesus!
Manieri built LSU baseball back up after the Smoke disaster.
Miles inherited a loaded program.
Manieri still has us on the biggest stage of the CWS and national seeding.
Miles had 1 BCS bowl in his last 8 seasons. That's not BCS championship games, that's any BCS bowl (or it's equivalent in the three playoff seasons).

So Saban faced 2 top 10 opponents while at LSU?
2001
#7 tenn
#2 Florida
#7 Illinois
2002
#10 Bama
#9 Texas
2003
#7 Uga
#5 Uga
#1 Oklahoma
2004
#3 Uga
So that's 10 top 10 opponents at least not 2 like you so strongly said.
Keep coming with those false facts buddy. Like I said your hatred for Saban blinds you and when you're always claiming FACT for all of your arguments and actually you're posting lies it really damages your credibility. Plus you're always knocking the 2001 team for winning the west with 3 losses but you never hold it against Miles for winning a national title with 2 losses which is more rare than 3 loss west championships. You don't judge the two coaches fairly at all and you don't do this with any othe topic, it proves that you're not objective when it comes to anything involving Leslie.

Keep having reading comprehension problems buddy. At not time did i say Saban only played against 2 teams that finished in the top 10. I specifically said sec west.
quote:

Im not knocking 2001 just because I state facts about how many conf games lsu lost and still won the west.
quote:
but you never hold it against Miles for winning a national title with 2 losses
bullshite. I do it all the time.

Please explain to me how I'm not judging them fairly?
Saying Saban coached in a worse sec west than Miles' last 5 years isnt judging. Its reality.
Just like you're not objective when talking about Saban or Miles.
I've repeatedly said Saban was our best coach ever and miles was the most successful coach ever.
Just because the FACTS of wins and losses dont fit your opinion it doesnt mean im not being objective.
Its not shitting on Saban when I say he lost 3 games every year but once while at lsu.
Its reality.
just like it's reality that Miles' last 5 years and been worse than his 1st 5.

Too early to tell - have to see how the football team actually performs next year to tell.
Too many this year's football team is going to be some great team that kicks everyone's butt. Maybe it will, maybe it won't.
