Didn't he get touched up by Little Rock?!! This is ARKY.....
Shores pitched terribly against Little Rock as well
We didn’t give up on him.

The book is out on Cowan. They will just sit on his change up.

Noot looks better than Cowan, at this moment in time.
Noot's last outing was over two weeks ago vs Little Rock where he gave up 3 hits, 2 walks, & 2 runs in 1.1 innings of work....

Noot looked bad his last outing
Shores looked bad a few outings ago, until he didn’t
Cooper Williams sucked all year until he didn’t
Jacob Mayer was terrible all year until he wasn’t
Kade Anderson gave up 6 runs outing before last, and was bad until he wasn’t,
None of this means anything right now. Yall will write the book based on the last thing you see and that just isn’t how baseball works.

Exactly. If coaches gave up on pitchers the way some of our fans do, we wouldn't have a staff.

Can we stop using this phrase?
Especially in Pride month... it's insensitive to the mentally ill that identify as pets.

If the wind was blowing in I would 100% say start Cowan. But the wind is blowing out and Noot has a deeper arsenal. Cowan is going to pitch, just to what extent I do not know but I would expect Noot to start the game and Cowan to enter the game first out of the bullpen.

If the wind is blowing in hard, I’d be ok with this. If not, he gives up too many homers

With the wind blowing out, I start Noot. And Cowan can pitch (at some point) if there is a game on Thursday

When was that? 2 months ago? His confidence is GONE....Everyone can see that. Cowan from over a month ago, is completely different than today's Cowan....
Question…. Did you watch the 2023 CWS?

In fact, we have no one available today we can count on except maybe an inning from Eyanson and a couple from Shores
We have many arms we can count on. And Eyanson can give us a lot more than one inning. Anderson will 100% be available as well.
The confidence that some of you have when spewing ridiculous shite like this is staggering.

No one has been on a “long leash” for quite some time now
Eyanson deservedly had a long leash giving up 3 against UCLA. Not problem at all with the phrase. Cowan gets 2 batters if he starts, needs to retire at least 1 to continue.

Someone is going to have to step up for us to win today. We have some candidates, so let’s see who is a champion.
Exactly. The time has come when you have to rely on these guys in the CWS. Nut up or go home

How does Cowan not learn a third pitch in a year?
Hell have to have one eventually

A starter with only 2 pitches. Do not like. Why he has been getting touched up.
Not saying you are wrong about 2 pitches, but he has been getting roughed up because he was unable to locate them effectively and seemed to have lost confidence. This ineffectiveness made his third pitch, a rather benign fastball, a beach ball to hitters when they could sit on it. To top it off he doesn't have a go to Out pitch.
I really think he can be effective again if he can get back the mojo back on his change up. I get more than a little nervous though rolling the dice on that in Omaha.

they're known to hit lefties hard. Anderson isn't your average lefty though, they struggled with him because hes great.
to the guys saying no to cowan, who else would you start? noot? Williams? not really a better option. Cowan did well against arkansas even though he had bad outings before and after the outing vs arkansas ,so its not like he had been dominating when he pitched against them. hes probably a good matchup vs them

He does have a 3rd pitch. This board is so ignorant sometimes. People say things, then it gets parroted like it’s truth
