The student section was moved because their seats were 75% empty 75% of the games for several years. It was pathetic.

There was a Mike Toole appreciation thread here a couple of years ago...and Mike's sister actually posted in it. He was doing well and living in NO. He was "a little different" because he had Asperger's...before they really knew what Asperger's was. Very well-meaning guy who was quite intelligent but a little bit awkward socially because of the Asperger's.

Mike Tool was 2 Legit to Quit. I feel sorry for the younger guys who never got to experience a football or BB game with Tool in attendance.

Not true at all. The students filled the old student section the entire 2009 season. 2010 was the last season with the old section. LSU went 2-14 in the SEC so NOBODY showed up. The section was not empty for several years, cheese dick.

LSU's court is set up the wrong direction for TV. It drives me crazy. The giant goofy tiger emblem is facing forwards, but all you see for the entire game is the back of the coach's head and the backs of players on the bench. Then, on the side opposite camera is where all the docile season ticket holders sit, not the student section. If it the fans ever do get loud in the PMAC, you'd never be able to tell the way the court is set up. I hope somebody understands that.

In fact, it's probably so they can show those giant banner ads that rotate on the front of the press box all game (and all over the court too). Possibly SECTV's doing, because they cover all the games in the conference, including the boring ones. When we played on National TV only a few times a year it was much more theatrically conceived.

Yup. I agree. It looks dumb that you don't see the team benches. I mean for every other program you see the team benches except for Vandy which is dumb. There is no televised energy on tv when the Tigers play. It makes LSU look bad.
I also liked Mike Tool except for the fact that he did a FSU chant.

The Athletic Dept. would take away the seats and stick the students in a room with televised feed if they could get away with it.
