Both those teams were payed favorable schedules. Lester is just being Lester. It’s all good though. That’s why we are here.

I don't know if you're bashing or not - only you know your motivation.

Trying to be even minded:

In your stat line, Nuss's INT numbers don't vary from the two qb's you referenced - over a full season of work.

Nuss can put the ball into much tighter windows and make more throws than any of the Qb's I saw perform for Texas, OSU, ND and PS.

The hang on Nuss not running has been a major frustration. Especially since Nuss CAN run. However, when we saw his backup come in when he got dinged .. . . I can understand his coaches telling him not to run under any circumstances. It is what it is, but our #2 QB was atrocious.

I don't bear any axe to grind, but think we have a pretty damn good resource at QB who needs to polish up some things. I'm hopeful that the same team of coaches who cleaned up JD5's weaknesses is able to advance Nuss. Not expecting Heisman winner but if he doe get that, then we should be pretty happy as Tiger fans.

His WR sucked arse. Not 1 of them close to what we had previously. We had no elite WR and no run game to take pressure off pass game. You had no blow the top off the defense WR. We had a new OC that had to learn on job. Blame someone else besides Nuss sometimes. How about pointing finger at your boy Kyren sometime. He sucked arse all year.

The missed opportunities when Nuss was not under duress or in pressure situations is what does not sit well. But hey it is easy to blame every single other outside factor. Some of yall really are delusional about his play. Its crazy.

Using context in college football is critical because talent, coaching, and schedule are so different from team to team

There’s a middle ground between blaming all of Nuss’ mistakes on other factors (which I didn’t do, Nuss definitely did not play perfect or anything close to it) and pretending that playing QB for Texas under Sark is the same thing as playing QB for this LSU team under Joe Sloan

Nuss' best is better than or as good as any other Qb's best. Equating that to anything else is meaningless. Him not running is not all that frustrating. Him being consistent is the frustration. Because he has no in-between. He is either really great, or really bad. He had trouble stringing together successful drivers/quarters/halves/games. He does not do the smaller things to manage a game like these other QBs, which leads to overall team success.

How many times did we throw it a game? Somebody has to catch some of the balls. Other teams threw it way less than us bc everytime someone says something about Nuss yardage or TD’s, you ask how many attempts. LOL

Does anyone else notice how tOSU Defensive line maintains their gaps so well when rushing the passer? I swear LSU’s lineman must not even be coached. It’s such a difference in disciplined play.

Sounds like you have it figured out. Invited to the SR bowl and teams were dying to draft a WR with his upside in the 2nd/3rd round. Meanie pointed a fake gun tho and you got all up in your feelings lmao

While a few of Nussmeier's INTs were boneheaded this basically looks like the Comp% basically held him back and probably would've gotten him some more TDs.

Also shows that there's a good chance having a subpar run game made defenses key on our pass so there are tighter windows. We will see in 8 months if this can improve for nuss and the offense.

Good point. This thread is full of arguing about QB play, but the playoffs was dominated by teams that were flat out nasty in the trenches.

Dead last in rushing offense in SEC - nothing to say about that. You all up in your felling about Nuss. You defend Kyren and never defended anything I said about our lack of wr, run game, or new OC. It’s alright, we know you have an agenda.

you are wasting your time. This is a game with this clown. He is the same on this board as SFP is on the political board. Honestly, it is sad, but to each their own.

Out of all the guys I've watched in the playoffs, and I've watched them all, I believe Nuss and Howard are the best. Ewers is not a good passer against good competition. Texas has a great Defense though, that is what carried them....that, and the easiest SEC Schedule one could get.

Why is that crazy? Both those teams usually have strong defenses. OSU is usually elite. Look at their defensive recruiting and coaching staff.
