Did you know LSU has a men's game immediately preceding the women's contest? My local sports bar is only airing and having an LSU watch party for the women's game. It's as if LSU and Tennessee men are playing a game in a virtual vacuum

That being said, cheating is now legal. Wouldn't be opposed to Wade returning at this point. But you have to fund the program with big NIL dollars.
You still can't pay players from your personal checking account.

The new coach… the right coach would bring instant excitement back to the program.

but why would he leave NC State, where he has basically said he gets all the resources he needs there?
He also added that it was unlike any other program he has coached at.

“This is the best job I’ve ever had, in terms of the support for basketball,” Wade said via Noah Fleischman of On3 | Rivals’ The Wolfpacker. “We have everything we need. It’s on us to win. I absolutely love it here.”
But for now, we can have irrational hope.

I don’t know if draconian is the word you were looking for but I still see what you mean

Let's focus on someone besides Wade. He is a good coach, not a great coach.

Wades return would be unpearalled

That’s bc basketball is no longer fun to watch at any level.
Basketball players are the new soccer players. Soft.

All it takes to get the casual LSU fan back in the PMAC is some energy. CMM seems like a real good guy, but it's just not satisfying to listen to him. Give us someone fiery, and the fans will come. Some of you guys that don't care about basketball seem to think that no one cares about basketball with you, and you're wrong. 2019 season proved that basketball at LSU can get great support and host electric atmospheres. The Tennessee game that season was among the greatest LSU sporting events I have ever attended. There are PLENTY of us that care greatly about this basketball program.

This can be turned around fairly quick with he right hire. Look at WBB.

In a very short amount of time, NC state will be receiving about 75% per year LESS than what LSU does in the TV contracts.
They'll also most likely be playing in a watered down ACC without their big rivals (Duke & UNC).
Also, in spite of what the ABSOLUTE DORKS!!! who are anti Wade on this site say, the overwhelming majority of the fan base LOVES HIM and would welcome him back with open arms.
He also knows and TRUSTS the administration in place at LSU, a direct 180 from when Patton Oswalt's retarded little sister was the AD here.
In what world do you think Wade's situation in Raleigh would be anywhere close to what it would be in BR?

This is true and OP knows it. Basketball more than any other sport can get fixed quickly.

Winning solves everything, just ask Mulkey and the gymnastics coach. Who would have ever believed gymnastics would sell out the PMAC.

I would say that basketball is not hard to get a reboot in, but clearly hiring a coach who on paper looked good coming out of Murray St isn't working.
If the men's team would be able to compete. Win the games you're supposed to and half of the ones that are a toss up then people would be interested.
Like football under BK it just seems like we're not doing what is best fit for the kids. They just aren't moving as fast and aggressive.

This is a world I never thought I would live in.
2006 was a lot of fun when both the men and women went to the Final Four.
