I get the opportunity to pull for Bama about twice a decade. This week? Why not?

Wrong. It does matter. If LSU and Bama win tomorrow, LSU locks up the SEC West.
That has no impact on LSU needing to win out to stay in the playoff conversation or that other teams need to lose for LSU to have a realistic chance.
Would you rather LSU be SEC West champs needing to win their last 3 games to potentially make the playoffs or LSU needing to win their last two games just to be SEC West champs and get a third game they have to win to potentially make the playoffs?

Um. I like LSU more than I hate anyone, even UForfeit, let alone Bama. So no. Roll tide tomorrow if we win. THEN they can lose two more.

I pull against Alabama in every sport, every game. Even if the gumps were playing USC for the NC I would pull for USC. Another dang thing. Not one of my children would ever ever ever consider going to Alabama even if they paid them to.

There are two goals here.
You're speaking to the CFP.
Others are speaking to the SEC championship game.
The latter is a big deal, too. SEC titles are a big deal.
Btw, if LSU wins the SECCG then we will be tied with UGA and Tennessee for all-time 2nd place with 13.
So, rooting for Ole Miss to lose in case we trip up against Arkansas or (lol. I know) A&M is not a bad thing.

Do I want LSU to win out? Of course. But stop acting like this team hasn't already overachieved.
Do you as an LSU fan not count 2001 among our SEC titles? Because a 5-3 LSU squad beat heavily favored Tennessee and we have a trophy to prove it.

That being said...I won't watch any of the game and will not root for Bama. If they will, yes I would be pleased but I will not actively root for them in this scenario.
