There were many posting all day trying to get O fired as soon as possible even if that meant trying to get recruits not come here by making O look like a dumpster fire on the recruiting board that players and their families visit.

Nope, because all those people are concerned with is "getting back" at people for not believing that he could do what he's doing.

Or posters like you spent 2 years making this board a living hell by blasting anyone who had anything positive to say about O or the program and now these “contrarians” as you put it want to shove your nose in the fact that you weren’t just wrong but EXTREMELY obnoxious about your wrong opinion.

Happy to be downvote #100. I wasn’t all that excited about the Orgeron hire, but I was willing to give the man a chance, unlike some of you haters who have to admit you were wrong for now. But you are still waiting (and some are hoping) for the first sign of trouble, and you will be back on your O-hating train and saying you knew he was a bad hire all along.

Well no...I guess not...if its in someone's nature to be a negative all the time.

You gonna pretend you weren't like this for Miles, and with O as well last year?

Most people could have let it play out instead of all the knee jerk reactions from people who hated the hire.

Sure.

But those are not even remotely the same.

They didn't like the hire and thought he would fail miserably....they're alike in that they're both spewing negativity.

NOBODY thought Orgeron’s name being on the list of interviewees meant that he was being considered a serious candidate.

I thought he deserved serious consideration for the permanent head coach position, and there were others too. My feeling was that he was too green at Old Miss but that he had done a great job at USC, and had done a great job filling in after Miles. da proof

But there was risk in the hire which made a lot of people uncomfortable. We get it.

But it's obvious now that the general feeling is that people who were upset about the hire are glad to have been wrong, and people who supported the hire are glad to have been right. The way I see it, we are all glad, so it's all good.

As a matter of fact, the popular opinion among MOST fans was “Oh my god what is Joe thinking, he just fricking destroyed this program. I hope we’re all wrong and this works out, but I’m pretty sure it won’t. Let’s start looking for the next candidate.“

wrong, dumbass. I wanted Herman, and thought admin was smart not to pay Jimbo A&M money. Once Herman said no, I thought O hire made the most sense. Many of you morons think great coaches grow on trees.

No...I'm most certainly not....and I WAS RIGHT about Miles. He needed to go....much sooner IMO than we let him go.

Only took 11 years for your BS to finally pay off.

I just find it so comical that you, who were constantly negative about the last coach, and negative about coach O until just recently, are trying to be fan police in this thread

most fans realized he was a very good coach and was an excellant hire at least by the end of last season, but there was still a group of very vocal posters on this board who persisted in being very negative towards Coach O and anyone who said anything good about him. By then you would think any LSU fan would of concluded that the team was well coached and see all the good things going on with the program by that time

eleven years my arse. Should have started looking after 2014 season. Thats when most people....including myself, really started railing Miles.
It was obvious he wasn't going to change the O at that point....but dolts like you and many other continued to carry the torch for Miles because of his past accomplishments. He was sliding and you idiots refused to believe your own eyes.

Dont try to deflect on me now because you were dead wrong.

9 years, my bad. Let's just ignore that we started out 7-0 in 2015 and had a Heisman front runner. Yea, we totally should have fired him right at that second... oh wait, we were going to until Alleva fricked it up, and just about everyone, myself included was on board. What exactly are you mad about again?

There is no deflecting. You're being a hypocrite. You were shitting on O recently as well, don't act like some rational person now.
