No, it wasn't. It's also a nothingburger. Who cares?

Exactly. Trump is the ultimate a-hole, and more than half this board worships him like a false prophet.

I disagree. He handled that wrong. The reason he reacted so strongly is not because he disagreed with the reporter’s observations, it’s because he knows they are true.

A simple “we are going to enjoy this hard fought victory first, but get working to improve on some areas this week. Obviously, we would have liked to have had more sustained drives,” would have deflected the question easily. Instead we get a weird, overly-defensive attitude.

Also… and this is a big ALSO… as a fan base we get on the BR reporters for not asking tough questions of the LSU football brass… and when they do… some call them out for doing so.

BK seems to be unable to put the proper pieces into place. It’s confusing.

What were they supposed to do? Congratulate him on beating a midtier-Florida team at home and could only score 1 touchdown the whole game and got shut out in 2nd half?

- Stood up for his players
- Gave the young players who had good performances their props
- Didn’t beat down on his offense publicly. He knows, Nuss knows, Sloan knows, Everyone knows…this has to be one of the most frustrating offensive performances in a while but the TEAM did what they needed to do win against a UF team that was backed into a corner and playing angry.
- That presser was speaking to and for his team as much as to the public.

All of this, it was obvious that this was all planned by Kelly. I would anything he may have even sent word to Cauble to ask that question. Kelly Exploded too fast, it was planned.

His response was unwarranted and unprofessional. You hold that job, that title and make that kind of money, you can’t respond in that fashion. Do better BK.

He needs to take the reigns from Sloan now and move on.

Surely you aren’t implying Kelly should call plays. He has never been an OC.

100% agree. If you want to be a prick, be a prick. Its the media, they aren't human. Don't come back and act like it didn't happen later though.

With the away our offense has played and if it doesn't improve, I see three losses at the least. Bama, A&M, and Oklahoma.
All he had to say was that we are ironing out the issues, the OL needs to gel together, and play as a cohesive team. Instead he took the wounded bitch route.
Even if he wins a championship, he will always be this salty person that everyone loves to hate.

It’s good that he defends his players unlike Dabo but what he could say is that we have some room for improvement on offense and we continue to work on that. Give us some hope!

Getting defensive like he did last night just seems like he’s trying to hide something. I’m left with no hope.

It’s like he reads the gameday thread during the game and reacts to that

The question he freaked out about was "what are you seeing with the offense?"

He didn't stand up for shite. He was butthurt the media wasn't acting like his personal mouthpiece to get his message out.

False equivalency.

In the business world, the amounts matter. In sports all that matters is whether you are “profitable”. If (big if) we run the table having a less than impressive offense but an elite defense - as the business owner - will you care? No. Now if we don’t- sure…big problem.

One of the best games at LSU was vs Bama when we won 9-6.

He is in over his head and we all know it. He has had multiple opportunities to fix this and should have learned from the House debacle.

Sloan will be his undoing.

After what I saw last night, I do think this is another 3-4 loss team, which seems to be the standard for BK at LSU.

Since he's obviously not going anywhere soon, the powers that be will demand a sacrifice to appease the masses. I believe that will be Sloan. I just don't see how BK can justify bringing him back as OC next season.

Anyone who has a problem with the press conference simply didn’t listen or you think you know more about the team, its players, and capability than Kelly does. Was it frustrating to watch that offense? Yes. I know scheme sucked. But would execution have helped? Absolutely. Kelly would lose the players if he didn’t stand by them. Do you want that? Do you want him to lose the locker room? He is working those players hard. But scheme did play into the victory. 30+ seconds per play running vs 10 or so on a pass play. Would love to have seen more 1st downs absolutely. But our QB also was shite for most of the game. Did he have flashes of brilliance? Yes. But look at the stat sheet. You think about the couple of nice plays and think he was great. No, Nuss was shite in this game. But is BK standing by him? Yes. Because it’s 1. The right thing to do and 2. It’s the only way to get Nuss to improve. Throwing him under the bus - he’d lose him. And the team. Then guess what - this board would bitch about that. Would bitch how he threw the players under the bus.
You all are insufferable.

He acted like a complete bitch to a very benign question. Bizarre.
