well then you're an idiot.
OK... we've reached the point in Doomsville, where lsumatt, the only man on the planet that was smart enough to know how we'd end up in the NCGame in '07 is now an idiot!
LISTEN UP!! THE SKY IS FALLING!!! bring it all on!! there is a weakness in the LSU football team, and it calls for all comparisons to earthquakes, tsunamis, plagues, and raining fire!!!

If we had scheduled real SEC teams such as Bama, Florida, Auburn and Arkansas
why is everyone conceding these 4 games? Based on current levels of play, I could see a 2-2 or 3-1 if they played right now.
Bama- probable loss, but then it's at home (although that may not be an advantage for us if the fans act like they are)
Florida- could go either way despite them blowing out Ky. That ain't Tebow out there. They need to score on us, too
Auburn- so far they've shown they are slightly superior to Miss State; we smoked them last year; they've been pretty inconsistent. I think we win
Arkansas- Mallet makes mistakes under pressure. We bring pressure. I think we win.
The lack of a good passing game will doom us (ie a loss) if we fall way behind, but so far, with the exception of that weird 4th quarter in game 1, our defense hasn't given anybody any hope to put up a lot of points.
Our defense should keep things close in all games. Our run game should keep us in games. And the passing game that we're all screaming about (me too btw)- there's still the threat of a big play. That bomb JJ threw in the 1st game, that can happen again at any time.
Regarding the bomb vs a consistent passing attack, JJ is the better homerun QB. He always holds the ball long enough for recievers to get deep, and he has shown he has the arm to throw it. If we got in trouble I wouldn't be surprised to see him rack up some huge yardage, using that very formula (we might lose and he might be 13-30, but he may have 3 TDs greater than 50 yds in the air).

magine being a nascar fan. Your favorite driver just finished in 10th place, beating 75% of the field. It was clear, though, throughout the race that he had the fastest car out there. Only problem is one guy on his pit crew takes forever to change his tire... pit stops take twice as long as every other team, thanks to that one guy. If that guy would have even been mediocre, the race would have easily been won. How frustrated would you be?

If the WRs weren't making ridiculous drops and running poor routes I would be more on board with just shelving Jefferson.
If the offense wasn't committing stupid penalties which have just killed drives I would be more on board with shelving Jefferson.
I believe correcting those two things alone we would go from a bad offense to a solid offense.
I think if they would make just a few adjustments in the offensive playcalling we would become extremely effective.

The lame nascar analogy
See but you can hire a guy to change a tire.
LSU is STUCK with the qbs on the roster.
If you hired J Lee to change the tire he might lose control of it, sending it careening into a car and into the stands spilling a little girl's snowcone.
Whereas the slower guy keeps you in the running.
See, it's a conundrum wrapped in a riddle inside an enigma.

pimp.. you didn't really post "inside an enigma" on here for all the 12 year old brains to try and process, did you??
.. you know that now all they can think is "inside a vagina".. they'll be dazed for hours now!!

I hear what you are saying, but what pisses me off is that Miles won't even give JL a shot...He is either too stubborn or too stupid, maybe both!

to the OP.. i completely agree. i can just imagine what this board and our stadium would be like if we were 2-2 or 1-3 right now. it's pathetic. i understand criticism. but our fans aren't even having fun anymore. the tailgating atmosphere this past Saturday was very tame and subdued compared to years past. it's very sad.
LSU football should still be a good time no matter what the product on the field is. I remember tailgating and going to games in the late 90s that were more fun than this years home games thus far.

OR, and consider this , he and Crowton are ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED J. Lee will be equally bad with pick sixes thrown in for extra misery.
Because that is THE REALITY.
And as frustrated as we *ALL* are, we have to face reality.
Trust me, EVERYBODY wants J. Lee to come in and throw for 250, bang the Homecoming Queen and be a hero.
Everybody has hope.
I still have faint hope Santa is coming...

same, sad argument was made about him not putting malveto on a train in the middle of the '08 season...
He's not stupid. and he's not stubborn. At worst, he is methodical!

I agree - most LSU fans are bitchy whiners and spoiled brats.
It's the pussification of amerika!
