Winning is fun, losing is not, its that simple. If they win, they'll have fun

They need to have fun no matter what, because, they aren't capable of doing much winning.

He must know something, he keeps getting hired. He has coached quite a few pitchers that got to the big leagues.

And if that's his total resume then he's never coached in college and certainly has never recruited.

That's a pretty poor criticism of Mainieri.

I am starting to wonder if it is...whether by ability or coaching, it was plain to see this weekend, that Vandy was simply a much better team than us, and we have seen this same issue against other SEC foes this year as well.

He coached at LSU under Bertman. He recruited Ben McDonald and Russ Springer so he did have some success during his time here.

No, I think the talent is there, just no chemistry.

What does chemistry even mean in baseball?

I have to agree with the argument that this team is not real talented. It is pretty obvious watching them play that they are just not as good as the teams they play and you throw in the coaching mistakes it equals bad LSU season.

Yesterday's line up had how many out of 9 batting under .250?

I agree that the 2007 team was not as talented but PM inherited those players from Smoke this team is all PM and it is hard to believe we couldn't get a catcher,1st baseman or left fielder that could hit better than 220. I was very sickened by the preformance against Vandy : 31 runs given up . I hope that they don't quit -this team needs to reflect on the tradition that is LSU baseball and try to preform like those teams of our past! We have teams coming up that are beatable ,we need to make our move now if we have any chance of making the SEC tournament.

I coach my 6 year olds coach pitch team and we had harder hits balls than 2/3 of the LSU line up in our games this past weekend. they looked lost this past weekend up at the plate, I know they faced some good pitching but if you want to be an elite team in the SEC than you have to at least be competitive against that caliber of pitching.
