Harris or maybe both with Stevens at a hybrid position with only 2 LBs or maybe Vincent is at the other safety instead of Hampton

Harris was horrible in coverage before his injury. Not sure why anyone believes he will just become that much better. He was picked on each time he was inserted for the last two seasons. I don't believe that Hampton could be worse than Harris. I know Harris is a favorite amongst the coaches, but I hope that he has improved tremendously. Hampton did not look bad during his time.

I knew he had a good season, but I wasn't expecting that. Hopefully he steps it up again this year and solidifies 1st or 2nd round draft status. Still think he'd be a better OLB but IDK shite

Todd Harris will start he’s the better cover guy and he’s a team leader. Katy Vincent would be behind him and Hampton behind Stevens most likely.

Let’s say the answer is a combination of Stevens, Harris, and Hampton.
Who plays behind them? Naturally, expecting some blowouts on some FCS schools that would put them in the game...who has “the chips”

Crazy, isn’t it? No worries in the defensive backfield for me. Just seems hard to choose a favorite. Hopefully Pelini shows a lot of multiples with all of them on the field, which I fully expect.
Nightmare for a pass heavy offense. Or run heavy offense. Seems like all of them have the chops to compete for the Thorpe over their careers.

I think we use Stevens as a swiss army knife, and when Harris is full go, he starts at safety, I can def. see 3 safeties on field a lot with Stevens flexibility. bottom line we stacked in DBU once again

Starting out I would go
CB: Stingley
CB: Flott
NB: Vincent
DB: Ricks
FS: Hampton
SS: Stevens
With Ricks likely getting more and more PT as the season progresses, possibly pushing Flott to nickel and Vincent to dime/safety. I just don’t see it with Harris.
