No man without the work ethic they don't even get the chance to be on the field on game day.

Would love for this to be true!!!
Me too. I was in no way saying that that is what actually happened, however, I have seen similar stuff happen at a place I worked years ago. The supervisor would get a “heads up” about who was going to be tested and all of a sudden that employee needed to take a “2 weeks absence” from work for “family reasons”. Of course this only works if you are given the “heads up” about the test.

I hate it when some posters on here are like don’t let him back on the team he turned their back on them and some of that BS. Let’s get one thing straight these are still college kids, kids make mistakes. We are all guilty of it in one way or another. So when a guy messes up our reaction is “kick him off the team” what exactly does that accomplish? Everyone deserves a chance to learn from their mistakes and be better. It is absurd when people jump for players to be kicked off after a silly mistake when that can possibly ruin their careers and doesn’t accomplish anything. Now I get it if it’s something very serious it deserves stronger discipline but for something as simple as a 18-20 year old smoking pot or grades this “yeah get his arse outta here” mentality doesn’t help anyone involved. Now I’ll jump off my soap box.

It’s not like he had guns and and drugs in a car which will sit you down for a half Against a weak opponent on a certain championship team.

Uh, no one is saying this, guy.

Just theory from my source as to how he got around failing another one. Regardless of how he got around it, hopefully he stays clean for his own sake.

O-O-H-I doesn’t even realize it, but they just lost the title game with this news.
They probably weren’t winning it to begin with, but now they’re definitely not winning.

If it was just weed, a medicinal herb, then he’s been “clean.”
Bo and Miriam need to be at BYU or something.

Well did he have air conditioning or not?

It’s more like 4 weeks to get weed out of your system for a piss test, not 2 weeks. If they take a hair sample there is no time limit.

Guys
It’s clear what happened.
They got a heads up and he left the team for personal reasons.
We still beat bama

Urine testing
According to Mayo Clinic Proceedings, weed is detectable in urine for the following amounts of time after last use:
Occasional users (up to three times a week): 3 days
Moderate users (four times a week): 5 to 7 days
Chronic users (daily): 10 to 15 days
Chronic heavy users (multiple times a day): more than 30 days
So, yes, I suppose if he was a “heavy user” it could be 30 days.
My guess is he is a moderate to daily user. That would fall in the 10-15 day range, but what does the Mayo Clinic know I guess.
But you do know they make stuff to hasten the process too right? Pretty sure (if this speculation is the case) he went through a detox program and I’m sure they tested him to make sure it’s clean before putting him “back on the team”.

Jesus you don’t even know what happened
...and I suspect we'll never really know what happened. I'm thinking this is one of those things the AD and the Coach will handle between themselves. So all we know right now is that Divinity suddenly notified Coach Orgeron that he was leaving the team for personal reasons. Boom! He's gone. Okay...fine.
Ultimately Coach Orgeron will make the final decision as to whether Divinity comes back. It appears Coach has already made that decision to let him come back. But remember this.....a precedent has been set.
Hey I'm not a coach........I'm a father. I know that if you let one child off the hook for bad behavior, you can expect you'll be visiting that matter again later.
As you were!

That’s hard for anyone. Woah him the best.
Was reading a story about his parents home being repossessed. Broke my heart for them. Hard working parents that just couldn’t make ends meet. I hope that’s he makes the most of the time he has with the team and in school.

It was nice of the REC to allow him back on the team.
