No… the standard is 3 years… the hell with BK got 4 Lane should too… Lane got LSU outspending every other program in the country… he better be on or just below the same level coaching-wise as Cignetti who doing it with lesser players

What I expect is to start running the ball with the RB from day one, and converting third downs with a mobile QB. We were last in the SEC in rushing yards by the RB’s all 4 years Kelly was here. When a defense has to stop the run all sorts of big plays are available in the passing game.
Lane’s staff will tell you that last year they dropped 8 in coverage “because LSU’s tackles were the weakest in the SEC and they couldn’t run the ball even against a 3 man line”

Maybe, I havnt heard of most of these guys we got in the portal. I'm pretty optimistic because I trust Kiffen's evaluations but it's not like we just landed 40 consensus top 4-5 stars out of the portal.

Make the playoffs regularly that’s the first goal. Currently we can’t even attempt to win a title because we couldn’t even make a 12 team playoff under BK. We recruit and hit the portal every year like this year and there is no way we don’t win a title. Key to titles is QB first and we will have no issues signing signal callers. Our O Line was bad this year but there is no excuse to finish dead last in SEC in yards per game, and that’s what we accomplished this year.

Nowadays the roster turns EveryYear .Our expectations will be to get in playoff EveryYear. If the money people see fit we will be top part of league EveryYear . If Kiffin stays here we will have a top coach EveryYear. It’s the new way.

The SEC is a bitch ,as talented as ALA,TEXAS,GEO,were they still had multiple losses.LSU schedule is brutal not only next season but also in the future.I think the Tigers will be very competitive but to think they will run through the SEC without 2or 3 losses is pie in the sky.No matter what Lane Kiffen makes.The good thing is if they expand the playoffs to16 teams even with 3 losses we should be in.

I only apply the “star” ratings to high schoolers… we getting P4 transfers…these guys expected to perform… you could sometime expect and accept a 4-5 star player out of high school underperforming for what ever reason… but no way in hell you expect or accept someone getting paid top money to underperform… no business works this way

I don’t know about winning a Natty it’s hard. Look at Georgia, won 2 then NIL really set in and they’re just another good team in the playoffs. This board has pounded Mario C & Miami and now he’s built a formidable team but is a pretty good underdog to Indiana.
Cig has lost to 2 games in 2 years, is on the verge of being compared to the GOAT teams in college football history. Teams that were built with less known and ranked players but through NIL.
Kiffin took the job and has so far done exactly what he said he could do at LSU. He’s lived up to the expectations so far despite the media killing him at every chance. He was brought here on his Coaching abilities. This board earlier blasted Kiffin at his High school recruiting but his coaching was never in question. He pivoted & has dominated NIL at Ole Miss to make them a power. He said “can’t wait to get to LSU, with that Stadium, fans, and LOGO “LSU” he’ll have no problem getting players to come here, I wish I could get in the phone right now but I won’t it’s not open yet”
Well he’s been on the phone and destroyed the portal. Exactly what he said. Now if he can mesh this “talent” to play together (that’s the key) there is no reason to question his coaching ability. Playoffs is the goal, once you get in anything can happen i e Miami/Indiana final has proved that. Miami almost didn’t get in and Indiana literally came out of nowhere. He is also taking a lot of kids that have more than one year left. He is building good depth at LSU.
