There was a pattern of abuse by multiple players against multiple girls on campus within our program that went on for YEARS.

Did the women that accuse Guice go to the cops?

Didn't DD gf not file charges or change her mind a few times? Doesn't that happen in the real world all the time? Didn't he also get arrested and charged? What should LSU have done to "protect" her?

But there appears to be a much clearer trail within the athletic department about Davis’ lengthy history with Jade Lewis and how that was allowed to continue imo.

I already asked but what should LSU have done

are just missing the point or willfully unconcerned about female students being victimized by male athletes at LSU and the atmosphere that allowed that abuse to continue far longer than it should have.

You can’t force people to file formal complaints and press charges. Repeatedly, girls were given opportunities to do so and most declined. I’m sorry, but it is not LSU AD’s job to coax girls into filing a formal complaint or pressing charges.

I’ve never even seen Ponamsky in person in my life if that’s what you’re trying to infer. Not sure what the date I joined has anything to do with it either.

Just interesting that you sign up right around the time O was establishing his connection with local media after being rejected from USC, including with a certain former felonious “pirate” captain, and become one of his biggest supporters and one of Miles’ biggest critics.

Also, what happened on 9/24 that you decided to go back and delete tons of your old posts??

But it is their job to report it to the Title IX office which they didn’t do.

I agree, but not just Seagar. Verge and Mickey could speak up as well if they are offered up as scapegoats.

That said, it isn’t just “knowledge”. If there was a system put in place to insulate certain people by saying “keep me out of it”, the NCAA will find that just as damning

Young girls are scared. They will usually never go this far, and they definitely just want to move on passed an event like this. Leadership dropped the ball and it is extremely obvious.

Genuine question: How is Title IX an NCAA issue?

They have worked very hard to narrow their scope since they had to retract penalties against Penn State. If they can was their hands of the UNC thing, they certainly can do it in this case.

Especially since the Title IX issues extend beyond athletes.

so what should LSU have done? Filed charges for the women? Prevent DD and his gf from ever meeting again?

I don’t understand how this is business of the NCAA? I would think these claims come under criminal. Lack of institutional control does not seem to be a term associated with criminal type cases or claims. It appears that some just cannot wait for something to be tied around coach O’s neck. I suggest those folks take a long look at Tennessee, Texas and Michigan.

Our last three coaches have won national titles, and two of our last three coaches are legitimate idiots. Orgeron getting bounced on a non-performance issue will still have candidates lined up out the door, and all we need is one that's good enough.

I think the ball was dropped by not reporting this to the Title IX office. Should be policy that anyone employed by LSU should have to to report this kind of thing to Title IX once they are made aware of it. Should have to go through specific channels necessarily.

You are living in fantasy land, and again I say, it’s pathetic that some are wishcasting this on O because they don’t like his coaching performance.

Yeah, that's the troubling part for me more than anything else.

Previous poster says these girls just want to move past these things, but they stay with the accused, which is going to definitely look like more typical bf/gf issues.

And it's not like this is a turn your head and pinch your nose with your eyes closed so you can continue to win situation either.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but Davis' contributions had to be close to nothing, if anything.

The only real upside of Davis being a part of the program was the feel good story of redemption for the sins of the father. How ironic will it be that this POS costs someone like VA his job and standing with LSU.

This upsets me more than anything else. He would be the biggest loss. More than any other admin or staff

The article convicts Segar and Lewis of a Title IX violation for taking an accuser directly to the police. They didn’t start with the almighty Title IX coordinator.

I’ll take the penalty if that is what this is about.
