It’s so dishonest and he’ll never stop moving the goal post. It’s like whack-a-mole with double standards and excuses.

You’ve even stooped to denigrating Brown and equating, even lowering some of the greatest seasons in program history beneath this era, the worst in program history.
I didn't denigrate Dale and would never do so. He did an incredible job in making LSU a national power whci went head to head with Kentucky for 15 years. I have vociferously defended him from tjhose who always give that time worn trite assertion that he could recruit, but was a poor coach. I was comparing the situations which our current coach has dealt with and the fact Brown was given seven years and did in fact establish the program as a powerhouse.

It really is a marvel to witness. Has to be paid by someone.

What is dishonest. There is not a single thing I posted that is not true. You may disagree with the impact of those scenarios but you cannot deny the veracity of my comments. Thus, you resort to ad hominem attacks.

It’s dishonest to keep moving goalpost, using double standards and inverting reality.

No goal posts were moved and there is no double standard, I made straight forward comments about factors that negatively impacted the program and contrasted them to others who did not experience those factors and hurdles. You can contest the impact and you can present your opinion of other reasons that should be factored but you don't.. Instead you make gaslight comments and hope no one is watrching as you and your buddies nudge each other and snicker.

Yes they were, you changed a comment about injured players into some silly nonsense about imaginary sanctions then did it again falsely equating eras.

“gaslighting”
Like trying to convince people a final 4 run is the same thing as going 3-13?

Speaking of NOT RESPONDING. I've noticed you haven't answered my question about how Texas Tech is doing since they lost their best player and most likely all American.

Madking, to be fair, I have to give Nicole some credit.
She's right that without the injuries both seasons (79 & 80), we MOST LIKELY win either or both of those titles.
I was a young Tigah then, and we were REALLY good.
However, 46 & 47 years later, the record still shows that we didn't, and that's all that matters.
EDIT: Hold on a second, I was wrong to give tigersbb that credit (should've known better). That was Rudy40 that posted that, not her.

He won’t answer, I’ve asked him multiple times but why do these people who champion not only losing but losing at an unprecedented rate pretend to be fans? He says he old so it’s not a generational thing, does he not understand the concept of competition?

Dale didn't have to recruit under pending NCAA sanctions and was able to recruit Dewayne Scales, Greg Cook, Al Green, Rick Mattick and Tree Green along with Ethan Martin, Willie Sims.. and Jordy Hultberg in the backcourt.
What sanctions? If anything it is way more open than Dale paying cash out of a suitcase. You don’t want to debate lsu basketball from the 70’s to 90’e with me. I promise you I would own that debate and what Dale did to cheat with the scrutiny he was under to do it under the table.
This is FAR EASIER these last few years plus basketball is a 1 year “rebuild” to a title. So much easier. This guy hasn’t made the tourney even.
Get the hell out of here with that excuse you dumbass.

Having one great player will do that when you play in that weak arse come. All that great record he got waxed early in the tourney not making the sweet 16. Golden at San Francisco dealt with Gonzaga every year. Look at coaching tree with Pearl for why Golden is a better coach now and was a better hire then.
Sanctions have been non-existent for the last 3 years. Quit using that excuse. It was more of an issue for football than basketball because that’s what got scrutiny with OLOL shite and stripping Miles of wins dumbass.

Dale cheated when he hired Abernathy and sent his arse to Louisville to get Rudy, Don’t come in here with that shite. Facts are facts.
You aren’t spurring Louisville and UK because you like Dale recruiting you.
Reynolds, Williams, Robert’s, Jackson on and on and on.

Newsflash = Jalen Reed ever good? Nah
Posted on 3/1/26 at 7:48 am to Tiger1988
1988, you're spot on. NO WAY IN HELL we get Rudy at that time without outbidding UK by a comfortable margin.
Dale had no where near established his program yet. I'm pretty sure the only star Dale had bought before that was Kenny Higgs.
Now by the middle 80s Dale had it rolling and may have been able to recruit easier. Not in 1977-80 though.
