I’d imagine with all the money spent on football this year , that the Mc man may be safe for another year

Nwoko has gone on a milk carton since SEC started…. Physical freak that dominates weak non conference, then goes missing starting January?

Really? He has gone for 17 points and 6 rebounds against both Florida and Arkansas and had 8 rebounds vs Missouri. I would like to see him get his rebounds up to in the 8 to 10 range every game, but he has far from disappeared.

Mc out coached.

The best coach on the floor yesterday was Matt McMahon. He took an unranked team with its best player retrning for his second game after missing a month and a third year skilled post man lost for the season into one of the most difficult arenas against a team of five star recruits and its Hall of Fame coach and took that team to the wire. So who did the better coaching job? If you were honest you would acknowledge it, The coach who wins is not always the one who does the best coaching job. McMahon got the most out of his team, Calipari didn't and he got bailed out by a player who had the best ten minutes of his career after being held in check most of the game.

Once again the same fricking trite refrain about moral victories. I didn't say a god damned word about moral victories. I just acknowledged what assholes like you refuse to do because you are so caught up in your McMahon
Derangement that you won't acknowledge this was a superior coaching job when all relevant factors are considered.

We lost by 4 on the road to a top 20 team. The team’s last 2 sec home games they win by 25 and 34.

I’m going to keep saying it in every thread. When DJ Thomas is healthy this is a quality basketball team. You’re probably 4-3 if he is healthy from start of SEC play. Regardless you can win 3 of the next 4 and you’re right back in the hunt of the tourney

Cal has never out coached anyone. He has out recruited 99% of them which leads to his teams winning a lot of games despite his poor coaching.

Actually it’s 15-46. Even worse.

I knew that loser wouldn’t close the game out yesterday.

Doesn’t seem to handle a guy that can match his physicality and then plays stupid and commits stupid fouls out of frustration.

You left out the part that Arkansas has better team. I get it, you hate McMahon, he’s 15-46 in conference, he should be gone already. But the reality is that he’s not 15-46 because of the way they played last night. He’s 15-46 because of the way they played against Florida and South Carolina, and Texas tech.

Really disappointed in his performance. He's seems out of shape, missing easy bunnies and lack of effort. Very sad, what are they doing in practice? It BAFFLES ME!!

When you're the head coach in the SEC (4th season) and make $2.8MM/year, losing a close one on the road is nothing but another loss. This is what you tell middle school kids scrimmaging against the JV team, not professional athletes and a coaching staff of 20. If anything, being competitive with Arkansas on the road proves we have talent and makes losses against teams like USCe even more infuriating.

Poor foul shooting late in the game hurt us

And Arkansas was 7 for 18

Their poor foul shooting and our good foul shooting helped keep us in the game, until it failed us. We didn't have a single miss for a long stretch. Those misses late in the game were significant. I was there, and it changed the feel of the game. Acuff was the best player on the floor and they came on as soon as we stopped matching his good plays. We played well enough until the last minute or so. We needed the foul shots at the end. Brazil didn't seem to be a factor most of the game, but came thru with a clutch 3 near the end. That shot felt like a dagger.
